Maybe Crawford actually has very good resume

He gave first defeat to Benavidez jr. and Kavaliauskas, two strong unbeaten welterweights in their prime.

He gave first defeat to Horn.

He gave first defeat to Postol.

There was no controversy in those fights, he got no gift decision, split decisions..

There is still no proof PBC guys beats Kavaliauskas, for example.

At lightweight and super lightweight, absolutely.

    At welterweight, nope.

His resume before he moved up was fine. His best win at 147 is Mean Machine though.

Benavidez was his best win imo. That guy was coming up to be a hell of a prospect. And even the peg leg version would school Kavaliauskas, easily.

Too bad the collazo fight fell through, that would have been a good fight to test my impression of Benavidez.

Mean Machine is pretty lame. Benavidez is a better fighter.

Who the hell trained Egidijus Kavaliauskas not to throw punches?

He's still the lesser Benavidez who took the fight on one leg.

is he fighting again anytime soon?

He had a much higher ceiling regardless. It's too bad he lived a foolish life. I'm pretty sure he's done.

Higher ceiling than David? or than Bud's other opponents?

And yeah, I expected more from him in the fight than to just stand in front of Bud and shake his head.

You are looking for reasons to praise his opposition. He still hasn't fought any of the other top, top Welterweights. His best wins are Ricky Burns, Viktor Postol and Julius Indongo. Hardly world-beaters.
