Where’s the matchmaker when it comes to Crawford?

Beterbiev is strong, rugged and throws lightning too. I would see him as a heavy favorite but if Smith catches him clean he could very well spark him out.
Exactly the same way i see this fight.

Joe knocks out any fighter he hits clean.

Joe was in many good fights, some he lost some he won. Beterbiev on the other hand, is seen as some boogeyman in division, because he stopped Gvozdyk. But Beterbiev lacks other good wins in division, so, if they fight, who knows.

Smith is limited but packs a punch while Beterbiev also has power but is chinny. Smith does have a chance, albeit a small one, it should make for a fire fight.

I want to agree but Beterbiev is 35 & the inactivity from the pandemic probably hasn't helped.
              Now he's injured his ribs.
I think by the time these 2 fight, next September at the earliest, Joe can seriously catch Beterbiev at the right time.

It's boxing so anything can happen, and Joe certainly has power. Honestly I was never too impressed by Joe but after seeing his last fight I really respect his boxing ability, he has come a long way. Certainly would like to see these two collide, they both have a warrior's mentality and high workrate.

The thing is that both Johnson and Gvozdyk don’t have the firepower of Smith, and Smith has seemed to improve since his lost to Bivol where he just came forward throwing haymakers with no set up’s!

Against Alvarez whether he was shot or not, he actually for the first time was setting up his punches, working the body and shooting the jab!

I’ve said it before if Smith can actually have a good jab he would be extremely hard to beat due to his insane reach and fight ending power, Artur will not do what he did to Johnson to Smith, two totally different fighters!
I hear what you're saying, but Smith is very hittable and still one dimensional although I do agree he did improve, but when Beterbiev touches him, his face will change.. literally and figuratively speaking. Now, I'm not saying there are no risks ans it's an easy fight, Bur unless the Russian caught a bad case of silk pj's syndrome, I just don't think Smith can win this.

where is this notion that beterbiev's chin is suspect coming from? really, he took gvozdyk's punches really well, and gvozdyk has some power
