No it would not. There is evidence that being knocked out a car crash lowers a boxer's punch resistance. That is just some fans wild imagination and wishful thinking because they want Spence to lose. He took plenty off time off and will be better than ever and give Garcia a beating in my opinion.

Sorry. I meant to say there is NO evidence that being knocked out in a car crash lowers a boxer's punch resistance.

We do have evidence though. Naseem Hamed was the car wreck for Augie Sanchez and Sanchez left the ring on a stretcher. 16 months later he stepped in against John Michael Johnson. And, well, this happened:

He wouldn’t be in a big fight if it was as serious as some make it out to be

I doubt it would effect his punch resistance but then again we won’t truly know until we see him back in the ring.

I’m very interested to see how he looks vs DSG.

Could it affect his punch resistance? Of course it can, but there's only one way to know. He's still 11 weeks out from the fight so he probably hasn't done any sparring yet. But even then, different ball game with 8 oz gloves with no headgear. That's one of the biggest factors that makes the Garcia fight so interesting.

Well he picked a good opponent to give his chin a test. Can't wait to find out.

Duran got the treatment from Hearns, recovered, and went on to fight some big punchers like Hagler and Barkley. I would be more concerned about ring rust and the fact that his timing could be off for the first few rounds, which would give Danny the advantage. Sort of what happened to Thurman with Manny. Spence will beat Danny by decision.
