Spence has always had a good chin, but he was knocked out cold and woke up in hospital. Could this affect his punch resistance?

It shouldn't. I mean he didn't suffer any fractures or broken bones in the accident; Just a few broken teeth, abrasions and lacerations. He is very blessed to still be alive.Last edited by champion4ever; 09-08-2020, 05:39 AM.Comment

Am i the only one that thinks spencer isnt that good? Before the accident i see danny giving him a tough fight. Now i think danny beats him convincingly.Comment

I doubt we find out in his next fight. Danny will stand around about 10 feet away and throw 25 punches a round. Spence won't need punch resistance.Comment

Spence Jr Spars Big and with Big Punchers like Burley Brooks in his Gym as well as work with Jermell Charlo so I'm sure his Punch Resistance will be full tested and challenged long before jumps in with Garcia
I think if you're Spence Jr, maybe you comeback and Box more like he did Mikey Garcia to try and take less Punishment after a Accident like that. Keep Danny at the end of that Jab, Spence Jr also has a excellent and tight High Guard that he uses very well.
If he wasn't Ready or "Wasn't The Same" they would not be rushing back and would instead be trying to buy him more time. If Spence says he is good and Derrick James is saying he is good and looks better than ever then that is all we can go by until proven otherwiseLast edited by sicko; 09-07-2020, 04:34 PM.Comment

I can't think of a better way to test that side of his face than putting him in against Garcia's left hook - only thing is that Garcia's volume is sputtering so maybe some risk is mitigated in that regard. But Danny will land a couple for sure, so if Spence's fast isn't broken in this fight then he'll probably be OK.
As far as being out cold, really no way to know......only thing we can gauge is does it look like he is the same psychologically, is he still taking the same risks and be as aggressive like he was before....he wasn't KOed in the ring, he didn't pay for any mistake he made in the ring, I can see a situation where his boxing ego hasn't been affected at all.
I bet there are plenty of people who go through crazy stuff like that and come out feeling even more invincible.Last edited by LA_2_Vegas; 09-07-2020, 04:45 PM.Comment
