Kovalev is still a good fighter.

    Kovi is done
He was done before the Canelo fight imo
I thought Canelo would knock him out by the 5th round
Ginger held back , worried he might get caught with something
Kovi gasses and there’s your knockout

Both of you guys are excellent posters and all of us are biased towards our favorite fighters to an extent...but sugar has pretty much broken down what Kovalev was at the time canelo fought him. Canelo is a great fighter,p4p no doubt, but anyone without an ounce of bias, understands the relevance/quality of that win. All it was was a win to the casuals against a faded champ with some recognition in a higher weight class.Cant knock canelo because it seems that it's become the norm nowadays to build a fighter against aging fighters with a name but minimal threat. Very few fighters out there that truly want to fight the best and cement themselves as a great....Spence and Crawford are perfect examples of that. The best fight that can be made at 147 but it seems they're perfectly fine ending their careers, fighting in house average opponents...sorry for going a little off topic but its frustrating waiting for 2 prime fighters to actually fight each other..

You know the wilder v fury rematch was a fix too right?

These clowns here are now looking to discredit any guy canelo beats.

          Ggg is 95 yrs old
          Jacobs is 64 yrs old
          Kova is 77 yrs old
And Smith will automatically turn 52 when canelo beats him

Oh and they all threw the fight too

But remember wilder v Fury II wasn’t fixed tho and wilder was one of the greatest HWs and most skilled HWs of all time he barely lost a rd.

I kinda feel if a fighter can no longer compete at the highest level, then what’s the point? Why take the damage? But from their perspective, if they can make a good payday fighting relatively meaningless fights, then all the power to them.

Thinking about that makes me wonder what percentage of fighters in the sport are no longer/never were contenders for any title, but are just getting in the ring to get paid.

I’m not trying to say he beat a peak Kovalev or anything like that, Kovalev was clearly past his prime but was still a capable world champion.

This notion that Kovalev would lose to Lemieux or Szeremeta is just crazy IMO. I just feel like it’s a troll type response to some of the sh** the Canelo fanboys post on here.
