Victor Ortiz in the Maidana fight or maybe Morales in the third Pacquiao fight

Can a guy beg for mercy on his opponents behalf ?

I think it was Holmes who was bashing his opponent and begging the ref to do his job. Ref wouldn't and the bashing continued.

Seen this a few times... one of the sadder sights in boxing - "what, I'm supposed to just keeping hitting this guy who clearly can't defend himself?".

Mercer might have begged a ref to save Tommy

                  Very humbling

Fury was doing it in the second Chisora fight. Fury was just cracking him now and again at the end and looking at the ref basically asking why he hasn’t jumped in. He could’ve just unloaded on him but didn’t.

The corner pulled him out in the end
