He’s one of six boxers to win the heavyweight lineal championship twice.

    So... yes.

And the only heavyweight to beat two 10+ defences reigning champs

Tyson Fury is a historically significant fighter.

I did not vote. It is too close to call right now for me anyway. He is still fairly young and could have a lot more fights. If he retired today I would say he comes up a bit short of being an all time great. Wilder damn near beat him by KO not so long ago. If he crushes Wilder again and beats AJ in good style and backs that up with more good wins he could join the ranks of the all time greats in my opinion but he has to do it. Any losses might keep him out of the all time greats. a boxer must be exceptional and not just good to be a true all time great.

I think he's great, but on paper he's got gaps in his CV.

Never defended a belt, had a drugs ban, CV isn't deep.

You'd think he'd fill in a couple of those gaps... but then you would have thought that 5 years ago too. Your never know with Fury.

If he stopped now or lost against Joshua and retired you just couldn't put him in that category. He'd be the guy we tell our grandkids about "What could have been" rather than an ATG.

If he beats Wilder again, then beats AJ, then gets one or two more good wins he'd be entering ATG territory imo.

No current HW comes close to what Fury has already done.

By the time he's finished, nobody will deny Fury's greatness.

he needs to beat joshua and beat him cleanly i would say, he's done great with his 2 big names, both away from home, not easy to do at all
