That’s not true at all. Every glove make is different. Do some sparring with some Winning gear, then use some Cleto Reyes and tell me there’s no difference.

I am a big Mayweather fan, but I was not impressed with that selection

* Khan won the fan poll
* Maidana was ranked #8 at welter
* Mayweather was the current JMW champion

not saying Khan was a good opponent either, just saying Maidana was left-field

Mayweather had earned the right to select whoever he wanted at that point, but there were PLENTY of better opponents available

Ultimately we agree that the Maidana fight was marketable at the time, gullible fans or not. If Amir Khan had defeated Broner instead then I think we would have seen Mayweather-Khan.
