Plenty of people thought that he deserved the win against either Judah or Alexander and he dropped them both, he was a fairly good counterpuncher with decent speed and lights out power and he was quite a favorite before facing Garcia, most journalists were picking Matthysse to win. Porter himself got the title from Devon Alexander and by beating Garcia, Spence was a huge favorite against him.
    Still never won a legitimate world title in his career...

    Guys like Porter have proven themselves to be better fighters.

    I was actually a Matthysse fan but in reality he just wasn’t that good. Very dangerous but limited.
