Nah Pacquiao has way better wins.

I’d probably say Porter beating Garcia himself is a better win.

    Or Spence beating Porter too.

Matthysse was dangerous but also limited, he was never actually a legitimate world champion in his career too.

The OP said current gen so Pac is not included. I'd say Thurman beating Porter and Garcia are the best wins of any top current gen welterweight.

Garcia beating Lucas was very impressive but that happened at 140 if that matters.

Danny got lucky in that fight.

I had it 4-2 for Lucas before his eye blew up, which changed the entire fight.

It was a great win. Pretty much every analyst except Kevin Iole picked Mattyhsse by KO.

Thurman and Porter both beat Garcia so that has to be a better win than any win Danny has. Obviously any fighter Danny beat is not as good a fighter as Danny is so beating Danny is better than beating any fighter Danny beat. Spence will be the third guy to beat Danny in my opinion. Danny might be one of the 5 or 6 best welterweights in the world but I think there are a few welterweights who can beat him and that has always been the case. At no time has Danny Garcia ever been the best welterweight in the world. He might beat Thurman now but I think he loses to Crawford, Spence, Pacquiao and Porter.

Porter was getting disrespected going into the fight, only after the fight did Spence fans talk about how tough of a fight Porter is, etc. The vast majority of people picked Lucas by KO in the DSG fight.

He’s a current title holder at 147... he’s still part of this current generation.

Even so... guys like Thurman, Porter and Spence all have better wins IMO.

Was a good win for Danny at the time BUT this fight was at 140

I remember Matthysse was the favourite, I actually had a pretty big bet on Garcia at 5/2. I always felt Matthysse was overhyped at the time.
