He is vastly superior to Broner. He is a dedicated boxer who trains hard and stays out of trouble. He comes to fight and fight hard and throw lots of punches. He doesn't run away, fight dirty or hold like a damn octopus like Broner. He does have one thing in common with Broner. He is an arrogant disrespectful bragger and that is annoying.

Couple of posters are saying: If he loses to Lomachenko, it's no big deal.

Lomachenko isn't anything great himself and hasn't done anything at 135 (except beat a couple of bums) or overall in the pros, so losing to him is a definite career ender. Don't kid yourself. If Lopez loses to someone like Lomachenko, there will be no respect. None from me.

Do not compare Lomachenko to Floyd in any way.

The bold is one of the characteristics that gets them paid. I'm all for it as long as they can back it up. Quiet boxers get squat.

What would the problem with that be?

Broner won world titles and lost to some fellow world class fighters. Not everybody can be elite and almost nobody goes undefeated at a good level.

If any boxer has the career Broner did, they will have had a very successful career. 99.9% of Fighters that lace up the gloves don’t get anywhere near that level

            Age is an excuse actually;

Firstly he hasnt got his man strength yet which he will around 23/24. His build tells me he could go all the way to 154/160

Second of all people dont mentally develop fully until the age of 25.

Thirdly theres nothing broner esque about him he fights and trains like he has a constant chip on shoulder and is confident not arrogant and lazy like broner. There is nothing about him that suggests hes the next broner he knocked out commey in 2 rounds. He has a killer instinct which broner didnt.

apart from picking up meaningless titles (the value of titles have been watered down due to the 4 belt era) what's been so successful about broner's career? he was a massive disappoint. he's not only lost every big fight of his career he massively under performed in those fights to the point it became an embarrassment. he looks to be done at an age where he's physically in his prime.

Broner never showed that 1 punch dynamite ever in his career.

He may be a little more seasoned, he may be a slightly better boxer though I don’t think I highly of Broner at all. His best win was a overly confident Taylor Made DeMarco. I picked DeMarco and was miserably wrong but Maidana, Porter, Garcia showed that Broner ain’t all that.

but that’s Also because of said knockout power by Lopez.

I do deduct points from Lopez for his terrible fight with the Asian fighter and showed many flaws.

But those questions will be answered in the ring against the best! The way it should be!

Who cares if he gets outclassed. Which I highly doubt. He’s daring to be great and backing up his words every step of the way.

                War Lenca!!!!

                  Man, you’re some work.

Go watch Roy Jones in the amateurs at 18, watch Leonard vs Benitez at 23 and vs Duran at 24. Go watch Mayweather vs Corrales at 23. And how old was Tyson when he was “peak”? 21, 22?

So obviously it’s very possible to be much further along even at the super young/what you think is diaper wearing age of 22/23 like Teofimo is. Again, he’s been boxing since the age of 7, this isn’t Pacquiao or Canelo who were learning while going through the pro ranks. So while I can agree and never said anything to the contrary, that yes, he may get better, it won’t be by much, and the level he is at now is indicative of his potential level in the future.

He wont be getting no more man strength neither. The juice has sped up that process.

But sht. Imagine only being able to talk about a mother***er’s skills after his prime. Quit being so ****.

I was never impressed with Broner as he was always the bigger guy in his early fights and he was still getting caught with shots that a truly defensive wizard would not be.

Lopez has way more power in his punches and does not have a size advantage like Broner had early on. The main difference to me os that Broner fights very hesitant while Lopez commits to whatever it is he is doing.

I see a bigger upside skillwise in Lopez. That does not mean he will win as many belts as Broner because Broner far a large part was successful because of the push by his promoters.

Tank fits Broner mold more than anyone else. Fat problems and took 12 to get a one legged gimped
