I would never get why posters turn into fan girls. They only see things through their own rose tinted glasses. Fury for all his victory in America is just coming up to Joshua’s level in the U.K.

I still haven’t seen Fury in much endorsements on U.K. TV like you see with Joshua around here, but if people want to lie to themselves and make themselves feel better at night then cool lol.

I remember those wilder nutcases claiming Wilder had overtake Canelo as the face of boxing based on selling 275K PPV with Fury the first time. You just have to laugh at fan girls.
You mean laugh at fanboys like kidbazooka who calls anyone who criticises Canelo a pedophile?

I don’t endorse any fanboyism. Not sure why anyone would go through that length for a boxer that has NO clue who you are. So it doesn’t matter who the poster are, it applies to all that stan for any boxer. I can dislike a boxer and give them praise when I know they deserve it, and I can criticise a boxer that I really really like. Because they are NOT paying me to stan for them.

While it'd be foolish to argue that Joshua was not the bigger draw than Fury 12 months ago, the gap has clearly narrowed.

We don't know what sort of numbers Both would do in a UK fight now.

Joshua used to enjoy MASSIVE casual support, he was the UK version of Mike Tyson in terms of draw, but that's faded badly off the back of a terrible loss to Ruiz and a tepid, insipid rematch. Where I used to see him beloved in casual circles he's now often ridiculed and this same people say Fury will batter him.

Fury's respect and following grew exponentially after he destroyed Wilder.

Endorsements are usually multi year deals, and Joshua is clearly more PC and marketing friendly, I don't read that much into that.

They are on opposite trajectories right now, it just remains to be seen if Fury has surpassed AJ yet.

That's what most UK sports fans will say if you ask them about Canelo.

GGG vs Brook was a bigger fight in the UK than Canelo vs Khan.

Derevyanchenko made more money fighting GGG than he was offered to fight Canelo. That's because, worldwide, more people watch GGG's fights than Canelo's.

Boxing is a worldwide sport, and to most casual fans, the HW division is boxing, Fury is the consensus No1 HW, charismatic and undefeated = Fury is the face of boxing.

Fury is now the face of boxing. His profile has grown massively with the Top Rank deal and will only get bigger. Canelo and Joshua have hit their ceiling, Interviews with Mike Tyson, Joe Rogan etc have got him casual appeal. People also forget that noone does prefight hype, ring entrances or postfight singing like Fury.

Fury got much more non-boxing exposure than AJ and Canelo, eg, his WWE involvement. His rematch with Wilder was massively publicised in the States, and all over the globe, and he looked awesome winning it.

                Then came Covid 19.

Oh yeah the gap has definitely closed up. But facts are Joshua is seen more on our TV than Fury. Like you pointed out Joshua is more PC that’s why he can be making speeches at the Queen’s palace and Fury wouldn’t be seen anywhere near that. When we are talking about face of boxing then you are referring to someone that everyone knows right off the bat. I don’t think Fury is there yet. If anyone else thinks otherwise then good luck with that 😂

He definitely had a massive jump mid 2019 up until March this year. I have never flew to any country to watch a Brit, I did that with Fury against Wilder 2.... And I doubt I would ever do that for any brit again.

Tis a joyous day when our brethren Joshua wipes the floor with Fury.

                      Can't wait!
