Hughie Fury is 25 years old. He needs to spend the next 5 years of his career fighting bums in untelevised fights learning how to sit down on his shots. I'll give him another chance after that.

The only reason guys like Yoka, Hrgovic and others look great compared to Hughie is, they haven`t fought anybody good.

Hughie is at least tested on high level. he knows where he is.

Not saying Peter fury is crap, just limited. Tyson had taken the jerky jerky style as far as it could go and almost got flattened by windmill doing it.

But simply, no one wants to fight hughie cos it's a bad look and Peter is just straight up dodgy to deal with !!!

If you're a prospect looking to test yourself against the best, you're better off going after Parker, the ex world champ and guy that beat Hughie and Ruiz and Takam and was the first to take Joshua the distance...

Parker is a gatekeeper everyone is ducking, hughie is a journeyman punching bag no one is ducking.

That he also has a delusional controlling father living vicariously through his son who will never be half the fighter hughies cousin is.

Hughie ain't ever getting within sniffing distance of a title shot again. He'd be better off keeping gate at the local nightclub than trying to be in the fight game.

Having said that though, i'd like to see baby fury take on the winner of Joyce/Dubois and get flattened just to hasten his demise and get him outta the game before he suffers real long term damage.
Sorry bud I think you're taking nonsense, I never claimed that anyone was ducking Hughie, he's not a punching bag, he isn't a journeyman and he's already earned more money as a boxer than most ever will at this game.

Fury's herky jerky style will always flummox most of the potatoes at HW, however he changed his strategy against Wilder due to risk of getting planted by the biggest right hand the world has ever seen.

Hughie “Shades of Ballroom Dancing” Fury needs to visit Kronk Gym an start walking guys down!

He has time to change things as 25 is relatively very young and not prime in heavyweight years!

Pretty sure Hughie will be fed to Dubois sooner or later. I can't think of a more boring boxer than Hughie.

I'd pay not to watch this fight.

And shots don't hurt so much when you are going backwards the whole time.

No way, Hughie makes everyone look bad. Warren won't let him fight Dubois

I will add to the mix even though I think the previous posters have all touched upon the facts.

Hughie definitely is skillful and his defense and punch resistance are strengths. The problem is his approach in the ring is to focus so much on defense that there is no real offensive threat.

His chin, defense and risk averse approach will mean he's in relatively close fights that go the distance. That same approach will also mean he loses the majority of those fights.

If he was a boring fighter that won meaningful fights, he would be an obstacle. Instead, he's a boring fighter who loses meaningful fights. There's no real incentive for any contenders to fight him; Hughie isnt a compelling fighter at the moment.

He's young and has ability but he will either need to start winning meaningful fights and/or change his approach in the ring to advance his position within the HW scene.

Hughie seems to go from fighting very low level guys to top 10 guys missing the step in between. He needs some momentum. Maybe try for the European title and try and make a few defences before going straight to the top guys.

I would like to see him fight guys like hammer, kusmin , Schwarz or maybe even bakole.
