He would outbox a can like Whyte with no issues whatsoever.

He arguably beat your boy Parker so he can't be that rubbish lol
arguiably eh? is that when you make the argument that movement and defence scores you rounds?

whoever claims that hughie fury beat Parker by not throwing punches is basically on the same IQ level as Juggernutter. The only reason there was such outrage, is because poor Mick had a complete meltdown beacause he re-mortgaged his house to put on that show, and gambled everything he had on Hughie winning. Now all he has is pink tyson and Mick hennesy Jnr

      Haha.

I scored the fight to Parker, but plenty of experts scored it the other way.

Is Hennessey still in business? Surely this pandemic has finally finished him off?

Baby Hughie deserves nothing after his team tried to rob Parker of his strap at the time.

They faked an injury to avoid coming to NZ cos Peter with his drug dealing convictions couldn't get a visa.

Moved the fight to Manchester and tried to stack the ref and judges for Hughie even though he was under the same steroid cloud Tyson was under for eating wild boar.

Had Baby Fury even tried to engage with Parker and let his hands go even just a itty bitty bit, the powers that be would have rewarded him with a decision.

But no. It's not Hughies style to box and engage. It's to pitty pat his way to a hopeful decision while running backwards for 12 rounds.

And really, no one wants to see that crap!

Hughie has a good chin but Povetkin would work him over again and win a one sided fight. Whyte also fought a more fit Povetkin again this goes back to my thread about taking credit for others wins ,it doesn’t exclude fighters . Hughie even lost and now is putting himself over Povetkin in a fight he wasnt involved in . Ha

I give credit to him for his Parker fight ,boxing is about scoring not just going forward but he did not nor was close to beating Povetkin.

Time catches up with most everybody is my point. I dont see Hughie ever being the top notch fighter Tyson or any other top guy is. He has a skill set but nothing stands out to me. I'm not saying its came close to happening but think it will as he ages.

I agree, I don't think he'll ever get past gatekeeper level.

Tyson is the true talent in the family.

                A gatekeeper to what ?

Its not like beating Hughie opens the gates to higher honours and bigger purses.

A journeyman punching bag for his delusional dad is the path he'll trod, which he'll pay for with his mental health in later years.

If baby Hughie is serious about stepping up, he would need to ditch dear ol dad and maybe go kronk style.

He's reached the limit of what he can do with running round hills in camo gear and headbands followed by a few rounds slapping meat on the ol boar farm.

He isn't a punching bag though, he's hardly taken any damage in his career, and due to his excellent defense, I doubt he'll suffer that many beatings.

As for his dad, it was Peter who gave Tyson his herky jerky style and helped to turn him into the best HW of this era, so labeling him as some kind of caveman amateur isn't really fair.

I say gatekeeper because prospects need to go through guys like Hughie, he will always be tough to beat and will give you rounds.

Like I say, I'm not saying he's elite, however on here he's labeled as a Dave Allen type complete bum, and its not true.

I agree with this one. He isn't an A+ level guy and more than likely never will be but you will have to work hard to beat him due to his defensive nature

No one needs to go through Hughie for anything unless you're a fall guy paid to go down like his last fight.

You only have to touch hughies eye to open it up, it is that badly damaged.

Not saying Peter fury is crap, just limited. Tyson had taken the jerky jerky style as far as it could go and almost got flattened by windmill doing it.

But simply, no one wants to fight hughie cos it's a bad look and Peter is just straight up dodgy to deal with !!!

If you're a prospect looking to test yourself against the best, you're better off going after Parker, the ex world champ and guy that beat Hughie and Ruiz and Takam and was the first to take Joshua the distance...

Parker is a gatekeeper everyone is ducking, hughie is a journeyman punching bag no one is ducking.

That he also has a delusional controlling father living vicariously through his son who will never be half the fighter hughies cousin is.

Hughie ain't ever getting within sniffing distance of a title shot again. He'd be better off keeping gate at the local nightclub than trying to be in the fight game.

Having said that though, i'd like to see baby fury take on the winner of Joyce/Dubois and get flattened just to hasten his demise and get him outta the game before he suffers real long term damage.
