herring and berchelt do not have the same promoter. herring is promoted by Top rank. berchelt is promoted by a mexican company who's name I forget.

Top Rank has an exclusive contract with ESPN. I know Berchelt has other promoters but I've never heard of a fighter fighting on ESPN & not be a Top Rank fighter.

Yeah Berchelt has more fans on here so they mostly try to act as if it never happened and he really wants to fight the best. Berchelt wouldn't fight Herring, Valdez wouldn't fight Stevenson so instead they face each other. Meanwhile their fans act like it's all about proving who the best is
