The Turk is about to make an astronomical payday because the Dollar to Turkish Lira is huge since many world economies crashed during Covid with currency trades falling.
that’s not a conflict of interest. at all.

anyway i just laid out what’s going on so we’ll see what happens

This is just a negotiation tactic from Canelo's side. In reality, it won't get to a purse bid, and if it did, Canelo would likely just pull out and Smith would become the mandatory.
the biggest issue is canelo’s purse. he’s not fighting for $17.5 million.

The WBC did not order the Canelo vs Yildrim fight. Canelo asked for the fight and the WBC absolutely loves Canelo and will do anything Canelo asked them to do. This fight is 100% Canelo's idea. this is the easy opponent he was looking for and he is very happy about it. There are pictures of him posing with his new best friend Yildrim. Of course DAZN is not going to pay Canelo to fight a guy Eubank destroyed in 3 rounds. It will be interesting to see if Canelo can break his contract with DAZN. Yildrim is the fight Canelo wants. He does not want to fight undefeated Plant, Bivol, Smith or Benavidez at 168 when he can KO Yildrim so easily with no danger of losing at all and become the WBC world champion..

Canelo vacated the IBF 160 belt when Deryanchenko, another Haymon fighter, turned down his lowball offer. But Yilderim is an easier fight than Deryanchenko, so maybe the Diva will dig his heels in and put DAZN under pressure this time.

Yildirim - The same man that Eubank Jr knocked the f-ck out. Nobody wants to see this fight.

Low ball offer? Did Derevyanchenko make more to fight GGG?

Notice the pattern again. Same thing over again when Canelo was deemed Franchise. Theory was that Haymon knew GBP wouldn’t take a Charlo purse bid, so PBC won having a belt for Fox. It is happening again. Haymon doesn’t care for Canelo. Yildirim (PBC) just needs the belt so Al can strategize rotations for the PBC schedule
Haymon is a corrupt pile of crap who should be banned from boxing he was part of that Rollie fiasco that bribed the the judges so Rollie can have that cheesy belt

I keep hearing about how GGG is irrelevant, has no fans in the US, etc, so there's really no reason to expect anybody to make more money fighting Golovkin than cash-cow Canelo.

But the answer to your question is yes, Derevyanchenko did make more money fighting GGG than he was offered by Canelo.
