I think Andre Rozier is sick to his stomach that he chose to corner Jacobs instead of Derevyanchenko for their fight. With that being said, this is a tough fight to call, but I lean towards Sergey because he's faced top level opposition and Jermall has not. Jermall has a great chin and great skills, but I remember how he struggled vs. 77 year old Korobov. Derevyanchenko has a much deeper tool box and better engine than Korobov. I wonder when loudmouth Eubank Jr. is going to push for a big fight instead of running his mouth.

I like Derev if it weren’t for the Early knockdowns against Danny and GGG I believe he coulda won both those fights. If he can just get over that little hump early he might finally put it all together. 3rd time might be the charm
He put on one hell of a performance against GGG but he looked busted tf up after. I’m hoping that he didn’t lose a step.
There’s a lot of unknowns with Charlo cuz in reality he’s fought nobody especially at 160. He’s big af and he’s strong but I don’t put on the same level as GGG Danny Derev or Canelo because he hasn’t proved he’s there yet
Can’t help but feel like Derev is being brought in to lose. We know the promotion wants both Charlos to win. This is being pushed as their PPV debut.
I’ll be streaming this is not a PPV worthy card. Neither is Tank Leo. Danny Spence just barely makes the cut And in all honesty I’ll probably end up streaming that tooComment

Jermall is an excellent middleweight who never beat a legit dangerous middleweight. This a big step up in class for him at 160. I think Dervy will beat him if the scoring is fair.Comment

Then the fighters need to demand less money. Simple economics. supply and demand. If there is no demand for your product you do not increase the price. Give the fans good fights worthy of their attention again and then move it up to ppv. Going into a PPV fight with 2 B/C listers is only going to hurt boxing not help it.The PPV is the only way they can afford to names into the ring for the money they are demanding. It's a gamble that puts more risk on the fighter and less on the promoter/network. IMO the steaming will kill sales but that's another story.
Some fighters demand massive guaranteed purse and that often makes even PPVs impossible. Recently Keith Thurman demanded 10 million + and insisted the promoter pay for it knowing the numbers weren't there but that was more of a ploy to stay relative.
In this particular fight I don't believe the guaranteed purse is half of what Thurman demanded and still the PPV model may not be enough. But hey, they knowingly took the PPV risk because the fighters actually want the fight.
I don't think it's PPV worthy but I'll pay just to support a competitive fight in these difficult times.
I understand a lot easier the fight for gate revenue in a world of pirate streams but to almost force your viewership to pirate it is just dumb.Comment
