If that was true, promoters like Eddie Hearn would be headlining PPV shows with female fights without paying huge purses to men like Whyte and Povetkin to bring in the buys.

They don't and they won't. Money talks louder than disingenuous words.

I watched it on and off and what i saw was inaccurate armpunches thrown off balance and two fighters at ”top level” looking completely exhausted after 10 rounds of 2 minutes...

Also the commentators was awfull... if you had seen two men put up a fight like this the commentators would have called it amateurish, out of shape, sloppy... but when women do it what you hear is ”epic fight”... ”its an honor to have watched this”.

I find it pathetic that they demand equality based on merit, put up a fight like this and demand money and praise for something two amateur men on National level would have done better... if this is the best womens boxing can deliver then i think i can do without it.

Sport survives on the money generated by the fan base. The vast majority of fans tuned in to see Whyte vs Povetkin, therefore they get paid the majority of the money. Seems fair to me.

Women's divisions leech off the revenue of the men's divisions. They could not survive on their own because nobody actually wants to watch them. Boxing, basketball, soccer. Etc.

Shame on whoever wrote another fluff piece telling us not to believe our lying eyes. Women's boxing has always been and always will be unwatchable, amateurish, hot garbage that never drew a dime.

But before I go any further, the title of this thread is flawed, as FOTY implies that Katie Taylor actually put up a fight.

A few things that I noticed as I reviewed the film, Delfine Persoon took over the fight after the second round, Taylor was regularly getting beat-down and gassed by the fourth round. As a result, Delfine Persoon began dominating and dictating where and when the fight took place, Taylor had no choice but fight Persoons fight.

In the gifs posted, I share with you numerous times from rounds 3-7 that Katie Taylor was rag-dolled and staggered. The video evidence clearly shows Persoon cut the ring-off and unloaded on Taylor at will. So this establishes that Delfine Persoon was the 'Ring-General', because one thing is for sure it was not Katie in command.

Delfine Persoon was never walked-down by Katie Taylor, despite getting repeatedly headbutted, Persoon, walked forward and did more damage on Taylor, constantly throwing in combination and swarming Taylor with overwhelming offense, that is effective-aggression -- not pretty but it did the job.

I compared the clean punches and pitiful defense that Katie Taylor executed against Delfine Persoon and it was just not enough to justify a decision in Taylor's favor.

Katie Taylor should have two L's on her record and should be looking to fight Natasha Jonas for a shot at Terri Harper right now. Delfine Persoon beat Katie Taylor twice.
I agree not that im that interested in this mockery to the sport of boxing but yes ugly derfoon or whatever her name is had now been robbed twice because shes ugly and not marketable not that katie is even an 8 out of 10 herself

Its really a shame for persoon to be robbed like that and not even a question about it or an arguement it was a robbery

Not very fair considering how hard she tried, yeah maybe she looked a lil mentally handicap throwing punches but 99 percent of women do anyways

Exactly. i tuned in to watch the real boxing - aka "men's boxing" - and had to sit through a boring 10 round girl fight iin order to get to the main event, when I had to be up early for work next morning.

Then, to add insult to injury, i read an article by some shill hack trying to persuade me that the boring girl fight was FOTY!
