You think Hearn isn't going to show preference to his hypejob cash cow?

Whyte did the right thing in turning down that offer. A fight against a guy who already beat him for hardly any money.

People always over-react when a fighter loses. He should have done that or this. You lose in sports. Only people who don't lose are people who avoid anyone dangerous.

People said Aj's career was over when he lost to Ruiz and that he should retire. Er.. no he actually just lost a fight. He'll lose another one at some point too if he keeps fighting top opponents.

They lowballed Whyte because they didn't really want 2 UK fighters for AJ's USA debut. Americans weren't interested in that. They need a US or US-based fighter.

Possibly the most cowardly duck in boxing history from whyte.
        Luis Ortiz? Deontay Wilder?

From what i remember whyte turned the fight down based on the rematch clause splits... the fight was offered at 70/30 joshua, which whyte was fine with but the rematch clause stated if whyte won the first fight then the rematch would still favour joshua 70/30... which he wasnt having, there is a IFL interview with whyte stating this. Dont blame him to rejecting that... that was a b.s rematch clause deal

Whyte will never get a chance to fight Joshua again.

I don`t even believe he will ever fight Fury.

His only hope is he beats Povetkin in a rematch and Fury beats Wilder. Than Wilder and Whyte probably fight and that is fan friendly fight.

it was his own promoter creating the deal for him. He's never going to get a fairer deal than from his own promoter. The amount was a career high massive payday. AJ is golden ticket.

                The deal was a gift.

He settled for fighting unknown midget rivas and making peanuts

Whyte put a ton of money and work to get a final "ok" from WBC. All for the benefit of Povetkin as it turns out. If Whyte loses the rematch, it will throw him back by a year or two to get back into the contender status.

If you followed a bit how Hearn deals with things, he's typically quite vocal about making fights he really-really wants to. They might have offered Whyte his career high payday, but it was still low compared to how much he could have got if Eddie and AJ truly wanted to make this fight. I think the entusiasm for that fight was low from both AJ and Hearn and that's why they low-balled him. I read different reports about how much Whyte was offered: from 2 to 4 mil. When Big Baby was offered 6 or 8 (around that). And Whyte was ranked higher than Big Baby and has much more appeal than Big Baby. IMO Eddie offered the fight to Whyte just to show him he's trying to deliver fights to him, it was just a formality and Whyte rightly passed it on.

How many 43 y.o. ATG were expected to fight top 5 (or 10) P-4-P in their prime to prove that they are ATG? And I'm not even Floyd's fan as such, but let's be objective here.
