Maybe he decided to go One-trick Phony's route by "investing in himself"?

Mr. "Class" AJ here always has comments to make about another fighter when he loses...yet he always like to say "i don't kick a man while he's down"

""I believe if you smell or see a drop of blood you have to take them out. If you leave it a round or two you just don't know. If a man gets a hope and a lifeline he might just bounce back. If I see you hurt I am going to blitz you and Dillian needs to get back to that mindset," Joshua said."

see your first fight with Ruiz and say that B.S. again!?

I don’t think he kicked him while he’s down
Offered him a title shot and stated his opinion.

Just like what Tyson Fury did to the undefeated prime and Knockout Legend Deontay Wilder, just took the fight to them and raise the risks but also double the opportunity!

Stop the opposition before they could catch you!

I like Povetkin in the rematch but time will be his biggest opponent!

Whyte looked totally predictable in defence mode for the uppercut. His nervous twitch was to bring his hands up to his temple with no lateral motion and no particular footwork to get out of harms way.

Coming up the middle with the uppercut looked like the very obvious thing to do to catch Whyte solid, and Povetkin (with his keen experience) took advantage.

Turning down 4mil is nuts. Whyte makes no sense. The opportunity wouldve/could've crowned him the champ with the opportunity to command future purses.

Unless of course Whyte was focusing primarily on his "purse" and not so much on 'strategy' to beat the guy who previously laid him out in seven.

Whyte likes to talk because he can, but too bad 'talk' isnt a fundamental strategy in avoiding a well placed uppercut - against the older guy on shaky legs. Joshua couldve/wouldve KO'd Whyte sooner.

I think Hearn was trying to feed Whyte to Wilder so that his golden goose would be spared embarrassment. Feeding his already flat (Whyte) spare tire (to Wilder) wouldve been convenient as hell...

Shaky Povetkin did the inevitable in his forties, now Whyte might have to resort to PEDs and ****y beef patties for the rematch. And Povetkin might end up doing the same when he finds out.

What sort of heavy weight turns down a shot at 3 world titles, career high pay day, after shouting and screaming he wanted it...?

Possibly the most cowardly duck in boxing history from whyte.

That's why he wanted to take the route he took..

He wanted the big boxers to fight each other and drop the belts to the Mando in the meantime. He didn't want to fight for them because he knew the score..

He's gone from body snatcher to canvas licker.
