Showtime PPV in partnership with the PBC can afford Canelo Alvarez. Also, he would get paid a lot more with Al Haymon since DAZN can no longer afford his services by matchmaking his fights.

Clearly Canelo is very confident of beating the lousy fighter from Turkey because he asked the WBC for the fight. Enjoy your hero's next one sided KO win.
See you’re claiming Canelo isn’t confident of beating two career LHWs lol. A guy who’s best weight is 160 is “scared” of the two top 175lbers. Why don’t you call for a fight between them? Canelo is supposes to fight to everyone from 160-175 but the top guys shouldn’t fight each other? Canelo won a belt at 175, cool, he then vacated it and moved back down. If had held on it, you’d be correct in saying he should fight them. But he didn’t, he’s at 168 for his next fight.

Canelo won't call out Tyson Fury. He must be a pvssy.

You know what the saddest part is?

Yildrim at the very least will give it a go and his style while making him easily counter-able, will at least make him look busy and his workrate combined with size and smothering inside game can at least make him look serviceable.

Smith will just do his generic, cement feet, stiff-as-reinforced concrete euro 1-2’s while getting outboxed until Canelo puts him away with little resistance.

You’d think they’d want the better fight.

if oscar thinks DAZN isa sinking ship he will look elsewhere...and there are tons of rumors floating around about that ....oscar/canelo and DAZN are having major troubles with one another.....
Normally I would say yes but there is too much as blood here to make me think it’s a possibility.
Oscar sued Haymon, unsuccessfully, for poaching his fighters as he prepared to create PBC and used Shaefer to take advantage of him with his substance abuse issues.
The bigger thing would be DAZN though. They may have some things to work out but I’m sure they won’t let him just fight on another network. They will tie him up in court if Canelo and Oscar try that route. Maybe once his deal is done or if they agree to a buyout to part ways but I don’t think they are there yet.
It seems Hearn is on his way out of DAZN so I think of there is an opportunity to bring in someone new to reset the communication.

Showtime would stand to lose way more money on this fight than they did on Wilder v. Breazeale.

oscar didnt sue the pbc for poaching his fighters...thats why he had litigation with schaeffer...because schaeffer was allowing guys to fight for golden boy without contracts.....he knew there was no way he could go after haymon for the exodus of fighters since they werent under contract...he went after the pbc for attempting to monopolize boxing in the US and for violating the ali act

to be honest...if oscar had left well enough alone(golden boy was thriving) he very well might still be promoting haymons fighters under that banner much in the same manner that floyd used golden boy to get off the ground.....but oscar came in and thought "omg what is this...this isnt how boxing is supposed to work"....oscar has too much old school in him and thinking that iron clad, multi fight/year, deals are the only way things can work....and he had a fit when he realized he had guys fighting under his banner that werent signed....

everyone will have their own view of things...some will say what schaeffer did was dirty and he was planning on bolting ...others think golden boy was thriving under the schaeffer/haymon relationship(it was) and that schaeffer was doing what he could go keep that relationship in tact

yeah i do agree that i wouldnt expect DAZN to just let canelo go ...or go fight somewhere else....but what kind of shape is DAZN in is the big question....will they survive?

i still think given the opportunity haymon and oscar would work together.....there was a time nobody thought osacr and bob would do business...or floyd and bob...youd be suprised what can happen when theres opportunity for both sides.....fences get mended rather quickly when both sides see it as beneficial...
