because Whyte hasn’t got that mobility to keep out of range and now he might even be more hesitant to let his shots go to catch Povetkin coming in because he got ironed out, that might actually give Povetkin more freedom to let them shots go once he’s there.

Whyte can beat this faded Povetkin but there’s a big chance this happens again. Povetkin knows what he needs to do and Whyte hasn’t really got the tools to stop Povetkin using his style.
Whyte got two knockdowns on him ,that says otherwise of not having tools .

Rematches are easier to predict with a blue print ,it’s really little difference to the AJ loss minus AJ didn’t get flattened but this fight tells me to throw a good hunk of change on Whyte next time .

I mean he hasn’t got the tools to stop Povetkin getting in range. Povetkin was always in a good range for him in the fight , even though he was getting dropped himself.

If you lack mobility like Dillian does and Povetkin can easily get into a range like he was for the whole fight, then he’s always going to have at least half a chance, even at 41.

Dillian has the tools to win of course, but he hasn’t got the tools to really nullify that style because his legs and feet are garbage.

Definitely winnable for Dillian, but stylistically not a great fight for him either.

Maybe others are, but I have no interest in a rematch. I think Whyte after being knocked out has to wait a while anyways.

Whyte looked bad against Wach and got his lights turned out in the very next fight so not really keen on this.

I wonder how many people truly give a crap about the rematch.

              After a knockout like that

I think Whyte will never be the same. That punch was career-changing. Stick a fork in him.

Povetkin from the start of fight? Was right in the fight. I had to put the volume on mute, because the commentators where stating otherwise 'It was a competitive fight, but by no means was this a completely one sided fight from the start'. You could see the danger in Povetkin's work at all times etc

Good fight, Whyte has a real old school mentality. No side stepping, if somebody beats him? He wants to go straight back in there with him 'In today's business climate in boxing, that is unusual' due to the stereotypes and stigma's that come with taking a loss etc

Note: I do feel as if Whyte was trying abit to hard with intimidation tactics. The outfits, and the verbal threats of losing it and attacking people just before the fight 'Probably just frustration, with being in camp for so long'.
These teams at universities who design these guys training programs have proven time and again that they really don't add anything to a boxers arsenal with plyonmetrics, weight training and all this running on a bendy treadmill nonsense. The boxing world already had its own scientists doing experiments for years and years in what was best for getting ready for a fight. They were called boxing trainers. Even if they can make you hit abit harder, what difference does it make? It's like being hit by a hammer or a baseball bat. Both take you out.Ones easier to deliver though. You're right about Whyte being stiffer, slower. I think these training methods make your reflexes slower as well. I love weights, but they make you much stiffer even than calisthenics, if they're heavy for sure.

At the end of the day, Whyte claimed that he was in the shape of his life yet he still got starched by a 40yr old man.

I think he’ll hit the burgers big time, he could be ruined.

Had a bit of a Big Davey vs. Tony Thompson vibe about it this one. Think unless Dillian can jump on Povetkin and get him out quick, even an old, shot to pieces Povetkin will always have the ability to land the one telling punch. I love it when casuals are given a reality check.
