I don't know if he has lost his legs but ever since that first Kovalev fight, Eleider has been seeking KOs. It seems like he started to believe his own KO hype. He was a straight boxer vs the likes of Bute and Pascal.

Smith failed vs Bivol.
Smith will get KTFO by Beterbiev... not even close to the same level.

Smith was able to stun Bivol a bit at the end of the fight and I mean really had Bivol out on his feet. Smith probably loses to Beterbiev but I give him a better shot to win that fight because Beterbiev is going to be in range for him to land.

I agree would be a fire fight as long as it lasts either guy has the power to stop the other I think that's what top rank is planning to setup if Joe wins the belt
