What a shot! Proper old school Tyson shot that, lovely boxing, one of the most perfect one punch ko's I've ever seen in 40 year of watching boxing. You have to have a little giggle at dill for all his s**t talk, if ya gonna talk the talk ya hav to walk the walk. Well done Alex one of me fav fighters, but no one beats fury, no one. Eddie *****s face was classic, he cudnt even hide that he was in bits even with a mask on lol hahahaha hahahahaha hahaha hahahahaha hahaha

Thoroughly enjoyed that fight and to be fair the first few rounds from Whyte were as good as any I've seen from him. He was doing a job on Povetkin, breaking him down round by round.

But it just goes to show, if you're technically superior with faster hands at close range there's always hope. Flashes of brilliance like that win fights and what makes boxing (when it gets it right) such a compelling watch.

Whyte will come back in the rematch and probably attempt to do a better job at keeping the range long. But I won't question his chin on this occasion. An unseen, lightening fast left uppercut right on the snooze button from Povetkin has that affect.

Absolutely hilarious. He was always got hit too much due to a lack of decent head movement, and was an accident waiting to happen.

... before the fight, I had Whyte winning: Hearn's backyard fight, home judges, etc...

          ... but shit...

So many Whyte haters and Hearn haters around....as much as they get what they deserve sometimes, boxing would be a lot worse off without both of them.
Some excellent boxing the last few weeks, Whyte taking a very risky fight last night and a brilliant fight to watch, albeit not as many rounds as I’d have liked!
Compare his match ups to Wilder and tell me who’s the better man for boxing....

It's crazy people were writing Povetkin off.

Whyte had his lights turned out. That shot was perfection. Jab, slip, uppercut and see you in the stars.

Povetkin is ruthless. I do feel bad for Whyte considering this was suppose to be it, a title shot next.

Of course and without question, I agree. However, he was almost 41 years old and his skills are declining. His chin, reflexes and balance are no longer what they used to be. I'll grant you that he still has power though which makes him very dangerous.

Had Whyte been a little wiser he could have easily gotten him out of there. However, he showed no sense of urgency or killer instinct whatsoever. What an idiot?

You don't carry an experienced, savvy and cagey veteran such as Povetkin after dropping him to the canvas twice. Once you have him down you have to put him away as soon as possible because the longer the fight goes the greater are his chances of defeating you and he did exactly that.

You're exactly right. He gave Sasha a window and he took full advantage of it. I said before the fight that it would have been wise for Dillian to end this fight early because the longer the fight lasts the greater are the chances of Povetkin winning it late by either knockout or stoppage and he did.
