Dillian whyte is another Michael Grant style hype job. Only the Hearn jizz guzzlers were in denial. Without the PEDs, he was never anywhere near a top 20 heavy. However, Povetkin winning makes him the interim champion and get the diamond belt but does not make him mandatory.

With this development, does Dillian Whyte goes the WBC route again or does he chose any of the other routes to get to the champion of another sanctioning body? Personally, I think Whyte fancied his chances against Wilder thinking he can outbox Wilder but has little chance against Tyson Fury. I think even he would know that Fury is levels above him and Povetkin and hitting Fury would be a wild goose chase. Perhaps the better option would be to target Joshua again or hope to have a vacant belt somewhere for which he can fight.

Niiiiiiiiice job by Pov and his team. Perfect set-up, perfect execution, Whyte wasn't expecting this after having Pov down twice. Kinda reminds me of how Parker and Rivas KDed him, but more brutal.

BTW., I'm not sure whether it was Pov's legs feeling their age, or whether it was Whyte hitting him low but it did appear to me that Povetkin was trying to "get his legs back moving" between the rounds. I mean, bodywork is all fine and dandy, but maybe not so much Golota, mmkay?

Fury outclassed reigning champion Wlad. Joshua barely sc****d by an older Wlad

There’s no spin capable of convincing anyone that Joshua’s was the better win. Not a chance

Joshua knocked him out and Fury never hurt him once. Conversley, Fury never looked in trouble against Wlad, whereas Joshua was sweating bullets.

How you view the victories depends on how you value those diferences.

I don't myself particularly rate winning on points with no great offensive output, and Wlad certainly seemed keen on a rematch with Fury. And Fury didn't seem keen at all about it.
