Your ****ing nuts if you think Hatton winning over Urango would make him number one P4P. I doubt Urango can handle the punch and grab techniques of Hatton, but no way in hell can he be #1 p4p.

I said that AFTER he beat URANGO, he can fight different fighters and prove that he deserves the slot. i never said beating him would earn him that slot, because ur right. it most certainly would notComment

Thank you for clearing it up, but who else do you think he could beat to claim p4p supremacy? I'm not a big fan of Mayweather, but I think Mayweather would beat Hatton, because styles make matches and look at how each of them box.Originally posted by kfootball15u wanna read what i said again, because i doubt u actually understood it. i clearly said, and u can read my post again (it doesnt even have the "edited at 2:00 thingy underneath).

I would like to amend my comment regarding Maussa, yes he didn't win by KO but if you look at that fight again you will see that he made it much more of a war than it should've been. Then look at how effortlessly it appeared that Cotto beat him. I didn't mean to say it was a tough fight, I meant to say it was tougher than it probably should've been.Originally posted by kfootball151)tszyu was past his prime but he was definetly a great fighter still. that tszyu would have given any fighter trouble. Hatton wanted that fight so badly that he trained extremely hard. Thats how u win fights, and a determined hatton is not easy to beat.
2)Win a tough fight? he knocked the guy out. The only struggling u saw was hatton trying to get used to mausa's style.
3)Any professional boxer can rock another pro if they land their best punch clean. thats a fact. thats why they are considered professionals. Hatton, being unused to the southpaw stance, didnt see the punch coming. a boxers best punch landing clean will hurt a fighter, ESPECIALLY if the fighter doesnt see it and hatton clearly did not see that punch coming.
u should rate him so highly because he IS one of the best pound for pound fighters out there. After he gets past URANGO (hopefully he learned his lesson against collazo, and won overlook urango this time...) he will get out there and prove he deserves the #1 P4P slot.
I also dont believe Tzu was great anymore. The long layoff, limited work in the last few years prior to the fight, surgery and age IMO took more out of Tzu than others would claim.
These same points were brought up by Hatton and his camp prior to the fight on why he would win....I'm sure someone has a link to the interview(s). It is the same way he and Graham critiqued Cotto and talked about how doesn't belong in jrWelterWeight anymore and how they said that he might lose to Paulie because of the weight issues.
What other top fighter has Hatton fought not in his mid 30's other than Tzu?Comment

Beleive it or not Collazo was the next best thing he fought and look he struggled..and now I'll wait for the Hatton always has trouble against Southpaws replies

yah hatton struggled but it aint as if collazo was a bum , he was a world champion and the fact nobody saw him just piled the hype on the fight for it to be as easy as pie for hatton , and when it was harder than much expected (i beleive most of ppls predictions was ko round about 8 for hatton) everybody was shocked and scored inacuratly causing the immdiate reactions was that collazo got robbed ( i even said when buffer went and the winner by ud to my friend that collazo has won cause i was humbled) but when we all sat down to watch the fight again with the 1st round kd in mind about 90% of the ppl who cried robery infact changed there scorecards to credit the win for hatton by 2 rounds (myself included).
now wev got 10% of the ppl who was crying bout robberie still crying robberie and its starting to piss me of , its this 10% that wont credit hatton with anything ( yeah zoo was 35 , yah cotto beat maussa a round earlier but he didnt knock him out) but hatton is the real deal and is in no way shape or form over-rated , hes just struggled against a slick boxer ( hattons style is tailored for a slick boxer and the fact that hes southpaw just adds to it) doesnt meen hes overhyped in my eyes it just means hes got plenty of gritt and heart to pull through these sticky situationsComment

also may i add that hatton was screaming for the zoo fight since 2002 and he said he knows exactly how to handle kostya and hes got the tools to do it , so i dnot think it was age that caught up with tszyu just that hatton had hes number since day oneComment

The reason Floyd moved up is because Hatton said he wouldnt be ready until early 2006.Originally posted by Cletus FunkTotally. Did Floyd not move up to 147 within months of Hatton winning the title?
If Floyd had stayed at 140 we would have probably seen the fight already, Hatton always said early 2006. He only offered the fight for Nov 05 because he knew Hatton would turn it down. Not many fighters have gone in with guys of the calibre of Tszyu and Floyd within 5 months of eachother, especially when they've only just arrived on the scene.
Floyd offered to fight Ricky in Manchester, and Ricky turned it down.
Then, Floyd recently called out Hatton again, but now Ricky wont be ready until 2007.

Not very long, since Hatton told Floyd he wouldnt fight him for a year and a half. He wanted bigger and better things that waiting around for Ricky to accept.Originally posted by Cletus FunkFloyd Mayweather? How long did he hold his 140 title, dumbass?Comment
