Totally. Did Floyd not move up to 147 within months of Hatton winning the title?

If Floyd had stayed at 140 we would have probably seen the fight already, Hatton always said early 2006. He only offered the fight for Nov 05 because he knew Hatton would turn it down. Not many fighters have gone in with guys of the calibre of Tszyu and Floyd within 5 months of eachother, especially when they've only just arrived on the scene.

Hatton's camp turned down a fight with Mayweather three ****ing times. No money was discussed, they turned down the offer to start negociating for a fight flat. That fact was admitted by Ray Hatton and Graham MONTHS AGO. I guess it's pretty safe to say that reason Floyd takes so much **** on this forum is because most of you guys wouldn't know your ass from a hole in the ground. Floyd decided to guy up 147 and fight Judah (who was still undisputed at the time the fight was originally signed) after the second time that Hatton turned him down in 2005.

The first time he offered Hatton a fight was when Ricky was negotiating the Tszyu fight. He offered to fight him in Manchester for £6m. Hatton understandably turned him down as he wanted "the man". Hardly ducking.

The second offer, Floyd back-tracked on the venue and wanted to fight Hatton in the US, straight off his victory over Tszyu in Nov last year. It was not unreasonable for Hatton to want an easier defence after the biggest and hardest fight of his career, so he said he'd fight him early 2006.

Floyd then jumped to 147 and Hatton followed him purely to try and force the fight. The actions of a man ducking Floyd? I think not.

Floyd sees that Hatton doesn't carry the weight well so offers him the fight again at 147, probably for chump change off the back of Ricky's Collazo showing. Ricky responds with typical northern sarcasm that he'll fight for $13m.

Both of these guys are at their best at 140 so that's where the fight should be. The people calling Hatton a ***** for moving back down are the people that are desperate to see him lose. Why should he handicap himself?

I never said Floyd was ducking, I blamed him for the fight not happening at 140. They're both just looking after #1.

Everything I've said has been linked on here before. Look it up yourself.

What has he shown American's? Lets see:

1)he showed us that he could hit&hold and throw low blow's against a definitely past his prime Tzu (how much past is debatable, but that he was past his prime is fact).

2)He could win a tough fight against a guy that American's already saw Cotto destroy. (When he fought Maussa)

3)That he won a very close fight and was rocked by a historically light puncher who was considered a boxer not a puncher with only 9 KO's. (Yes, I believe Hatton DID win this very close fight by 1point).

So you tell me why should I rate him so high? The first real competition from a C+/B fighter that wasn't over 34years old nearly beat him.

1)tszyu was past his prime but he was definetly a great fighter still. that tszyu would have given any fighter trouble. Hatton wanted that fight so badly that he trained extremely hard. Thats how u win fights, and a determined hatton is not easy to beat.

2)Win a tough fight? he knocked the guy out. The only struggling u saw was hatton trying to get used to mausa's style.

3)Any professional boxer can rock another pro if they land their best punch clean. thats a fact. thats why they are considered professionals. Hatton, being unused to the southpaw stance, didnt see the punch coming. a boxers best punch landing clean will hurt a fighter, ESPECIALLY if the fighter doesnt see it and hatton clearly did not see that punch coming.

u should rate him so highly because he IS one of the best pound for pound fighters out there. After he gets past URANGO (hopefully he learned his lesson against collazo, and won overlook urango this time...) he will get out there and prove he deserves the #1 P4P slot.
