I have and never will be a big fan of Ricky Hattons however i am a big boxing fan and have this to say about him! This guy is by all standards the biggest Let on Fighter in more then a decade, he came to America with this great record yet has not stood up to what us Americans where lead to believe by his fan-base! In his American debut he was given what many boxing writers call a gift decsion and looked more unimpressive then impressive, he has also let fans down by announcing he wanted to fight this guy Urango who has like 18 bouts under his belt! If Hatton has any future as a great american champ or champ at all he needs to have the mindset of so and fight the fights that prove this. Until he fights a rematch with Collazo, kills somone in the ring or fights a guy who we as american boxing fans deem worthy he is and will always be a garbage fighter in my eyes!

are... are u serious? i find it shocking, and somewhat amusing, that u were able to come up with allll that nonsense from a single fight...
A rematch with collazo would not only be pointless, but would involve going back up to 147. it would be a ****** move and no other boxer in hattons position would take the rematch either.
And the only reason he is fighting Urango is to get his belt back, and make the casitllo PPV fight get more buys. im a huge fan of hattons, and i dont feel the slightest bit let down knowing that a castill fight is right around the corner... -
He's a good fighter, he just got a gift decision in the fight against Collazo. I agree though with his decision to fight this Urango guy. He should fight one of the beter Welterweights like Antonio Margarito or Ricardo Mayorga. Any one of those three fights would be an exciting slugfest and if Hatton won against one of those two fighters, it would kill any doubts that people have of him. I say until he fights one of them two, or someone who is ranked one number up or down from him, then he is only a decent or half decent fighter.Comment

Even if Hatton stayed at 147 he wouldn't **** with Collazo. Collazo is too dangerous for him, so Hatton went back to the easy things to take the belt away from Urango, which this will be another easy fight for him. What true opposition has Hatton faced? Collazo who hardly any people know of gave him a helluva run..Comment

Hatton made KT quit and he beat the **** out of Carlos Muessa (spelling?). The Collozo fight he should have never taken. I think he went up to 147 and had a tune up fight with Collozo to prepare for a fight with PBF. If he isn't comfortable fighting at 147 then why should he?Comment

noo.... hatton never fought kostya tszyu. nope. Tszyu being a future hall of famer, gives hatton enough respect alone.Originally posted by 4CornerMessiahEven if Hatton stayed at 147 he wouldn't **** with Collazo. and i really dont understand why NOBODY seems to get the fact that Collazo is a southpaw. hatton has struggled his entire career against southpaws.
When ur jumping up to a new weight division, u dont pick the style of fighter that has given u the most trouble.
that is the sole reason why hatton struggled during that fight. sure collazo is a great fighter, but if he takes a rematch with hatton HE WILL GET KNOCKED OUT!
And im looking forward to the castillo fight, where he'll shut nearly everyone in here up. Win or Lose, he will put on a great show and will be in a highly competitive match.Comment

Lol Only Tszyu his biggest fight, I'll give him that but he souldn't just fight one hard fight and then say yeah i'm a tough fighter. Collazo urges for the rematch Hatton is the one who won't take it.Originally posted by kfootball15noo.... hatton never fought kostya tszyu. nope. a fight with Collazo would be poitnless and involve Hatton going back to 147, WTF the ***** is a 147 Pd belt holder, so why the **** wouldnt he fight a 147, thats like getting ***** once and never getting it again!Comment

what are u talking about. he got the title from collazo, didnt feel comfortable at that weight yet, which we expected would happen, so he doesnt wanna fight there anymore.Originally posted by GreatestIAMa fight with Collazo would be poitnless and involve Hatton going back to 147, WTF the ***** is a 147 Pd belt holder, so why the **** wouldnt he fight a 147, thats like getting ***** once and never getting it again!
There are 2-3 big fights for him at 140. most obviously jose luis castillo and diego corrales if he came up. there is little reason for him to go up, except for big money fight with mayweather which is out of the question for at least another 3 fights (baldy, mosley, DLH).Comment
