He must hate Margarito to not bring him in the discussion of greatest chins.

Say what you want of Margarito, you can’t criticize his chin.

One of the greatest chins I seen.

Speaking of iron chins and not mentioning Vitali Klitschko is weird.

"I think Bouie Fisher was the head trainer when Bernard Hopkins beat Trinidad. That’s a great win but I want to count the wins as a head trainer. I know Naazim made a great catch with the hand wraps but I sort of count that as Mr. Fisher’s win." After Hopkins parted ways with Fischer, he said Richardson had really been his main trainer for a while, but out of respect for Fischer, he took the backseat and played his part.

Aaron Pryor's management also blew a shot against Duran at 140. Duran's people offered, Pryor's people didn't get back until Duran decided to move on. He's one of my fave fighters, but his management seemed to be at fault for not landing him some big fights.

I honestly think nostalgia makes old scribes delusional. As good as Duran & Leonard were they both had fights with very lil actual ATG skill on display & other fights it was(even though it was still them atgs,it just wasn't the pretty fighting their known for).(the 1st Duran vs Leonard fight was an ugly brawl of attrition that had it took place today would have countless ppl criticising it worse than Ward fights.) But ppl act as if it was a sweat pea'esq performance or a normal Leonard type performance for either guy. Theres fighters today who would most definitely have a shot at beating even Hagler let alone Leonard,Duran etc.(And I still consider them the goat though, just don't act like the modern fighters are sht compared to them)

Modern fighters are better taken care of athletically with cutting edge sports nutritionist & science. And modern day fighters are better schooled oftentimes as well due to technology

Brilliant as ever. P4P he puts it proper perspective for us. Leonard's performance against Hagler was worthy of praise as he stated but to add to it IMO it wasn't a clear victory and the circumstances would have been drastically different over 15 rds since during that era they fought 15 for a title. In addition we know what would have happened prior to the Mugabi fight and in 1985 when Hearns was brave enough to go to slaughter.
I now have full clarity with one of my favorites Aaron Pryor. Leonard did not duck him and I believe Ray would have beaten him
