Yeah theyve got one hell of an end of year schedule off the back of no college football, apparently
Lomachenko vs Lopez
Berchelt vs Valdez
Taylor vs Ramirez
Crawford vs Brook
Inoue vs Moloney
Fury vs Wilder
May have forgotten something.
I wonder if DAZN may pick up some international TV rights. UK doesnt get Top Rank or PBC cards at the moment.Comment

I mean if DAZN stateside is picking up international cards, they really won't do much minus maybe an AJ fight.Yeah theyve got one hell of an end of year schedule off the back of no college football, apparently

Crawford vs Brook though can be PPV in the UK and then put on ESPN+ stateside. That may be the way to go there.Comment

Could be that Americans don't watch boxing? I mean ESPN and Fox just lost money on the biggest fight in years?
Or maybe it's not failing? Or at least wasn't prior to COVID?
Startups don't necessarily need to make a profit. In fact they typically don't make a profit for years. What they need to do is grow, which DAZN is doing.
DAZN, right now, is in the process of launching with boxing in more countries across the world. I've got the Beta in Australia, where boxing barely registers. That's still more growth though, and all off their initial investment. The plan had been to launch with a Canelo fight prior to COVID.
Canelo and Joshua are global brands. Maybe it wasn't just about the US?Comment

A lot of North America is rural. I personally moved into the middle of nowhere four years ago, completely by choice. But it’s still 80km in all directions to a city. A lot of people in my small town have complete trash internet. And I know smaller towns in Canada and USA that dont even have high speed internet. So tell me the issue? Is it that Americans don't know how to use their phone?
Because, as stated, they've had good content, good fighters.
You've got to come up with some slightly better logic than 'boxing doesn't work on an app'. Boxing is MORE available via an app and LESS expensive than PPV.
That said, I have DAZN. It’s love hate because they do have some good fights, but I still hate the commentators, the freezing and the fact that they prop YouTube guys over real boxers/make big time boxers wait on UFC...**** like that is clown shoes.
And I have DAZN on my PS4. If I didn’t have a gaming system I wouldn’t have it. I’d never watch any sport on a small ass phone screen lol.Last edited by _Rexy_; 08-22-2020, 03:57 PM.Comment

Christ, that is a great year end lineup. And I wouldn’t put it past bob to get the Winner of the WBO eliminator tonight to face Beterbiev for the vacant WBO strap. Bob has that kind of pull.Yeah theyve got one hell of an end of year schedule off the back of no college football, apparently
