Exactly! The Floyd formula... canelo will fight and everyone on this forum will watch Simple as that. DAZN has truly been a predicament on canelos career to this point.. canelo should really consider suing DAZN or just getting out of the contract.. he would make more money as a free agent anyway and not have anyone dictate who he can or can’t fight

Regardless, it's bad times when a network has the final say on who a fighter faces. If anything, WBC should order Canelo vs. Smith as Smith is the Diamond champion after all.

I dont think Canelo's team actually want that fight though. Smith is too tall, too big of a reach and still has the power to trouble Canelo. Do I think Smith is more skilled than Canelo? Not by a long shot. But I think the size and power would see Canelo's fall from grace. Stay at middleweight, the last of the little men. You caught Kovalev (who you hardly did anything to until the stoppage) at the right time. Super-middleweight and above is too much if your going against much bigger guys in or around their prime.
The WBC are a disgrace for sanctioning this fight for the vacant belt. The question is - why have you sanctioned it!

A boxer can send in request but you do not have to accept that request, Isn't smith the WBC Diamond beltholder at 168? Am glad DAZN turned their noses up on that fight.

Golovkin was stripped once already for not fighting his ibf mandatory on short notice (was it like 4-5 weeks to prepare for Dchenko) because someone get caught using clenbuterol

No he chose Vanes over the Devry mando. And Clenbuterol is waived today if it’s less than 2ng as was Canelo’s. Like GGG sai, “if he used it or not, doesn’t matter for me.” People need to understand why GGG said that...

i dont get it why Canelo fans are so salty, dont you understand that it doesnt look good jumping on to fight some bum just to get a vacant belt, you supposed to be the face of boxing and p4p number one guy, you have a status, have some pride for christ' sake
i better watch Lemieux-Yildirim for that vacant belt and Canelo fights his mandos, smn like Eubank jr

The ''face of boxing'' had chosen Berto for the prestigious ''49-0'' bout while VERBALLY patronizing Muhammad Ali or Marciano with comparison. Floyd had the WBA Super 154. Why didn't he fight Lara when there was a narrative that Lara beat Canelo? The point is, since nobody brings that up, cherry picking to hate on Canelo without holding general ''face of boxing'' standards doesn't matter. You just said if Canelo ''fights his mandos.'' So if Yildirim were a mando it'd be fine? Just like GGG'S Szeremeta?
