Who ever said Canelo would be making the same money he’s guaranteed with DAZN? Not me. Obviously, Canelo would be getting a percentage of the PPV buys as well as a minimum fee not 35 mil. The end goal for Canelo doing an independent PPV fight is for him to become the 168 lbs WBC champ which is what he wants that’s why he requested to fight for the vacant belt. simple question, if he really wanted that wbc title as badly as you say, so much so that he's willing to walk away from making over 30 mil and make a fraction of that just so that he can win this prestigious 168 pound title, then why did you never hear him mention fighting benavidez as an option? Benavidez had that belt until this past Friday, and you've heard potential fights for Canelo with Smith, Saunders, dirrell, murota, and others, but never once heard benavidez name mentioned? Just call it what it is, a cheap attempt to pretend he's a real champion by choosing the easiest path to get it. Overall, I highly doubt Oscar will go independent and if he does, he will take financial hit because nobody cares to see that fight... Except for about 5 of you canelo cheerleaders on here.

First don’t ever use old @ss Dirrell as an example why the Benavidez fight could of happen both of them are in separate courses in their career and David is much more valuable to PBC than Dirrell.
