This is a very big step up for Garcia. He has never seen a guy with Campbell's size and skills. Credit to both parties for getting this deal done. Don't know who's gonna take it, but this is a serious crossroads matchup for both guys. Time to see if Garcia is at least worthy of being called a boxing star with an impressive showing here.

Make or break fight for Yappy Garcia, he's talked a lot let's see if he can back it up against a legit opponent.

This is a great fight for Garcia to show if he deserves the hype and i think he stops Campbell quickly, Garcia is obviously dangerous in the first 3-4 rounds and Campbell has always been a slow starter and hurt/dropped early in multiple fights

Hardly make or break tho. The guy is very young

If Garcia wins by KO,I don’t want to hear that he’s ducking top opposition. He disappointed us by not fighting Linares but fighting Campbell makes up for it.

If the fight goes past 6 I can see Garcia having a rough time surviving the pressure of Campbell. Winner of this fight should get winner of that garbage ppv of Tank vs Santa Cruz

What happened? Hearn never rolls on negotiations. He was going lose a bidding war, if there was one. Ryan wasn't going to the UK, Eddy could have bid a million.

Campbell very capable of outboxing Garcia, let's hope he doesn't get shafted on the cards if he does.

I rate Campbell quite highly; he lost a split decision to Linares who, despite his age, is still a highly skilled, elite fighter in the division; and then lost to Loma who, besides the knockdown, was arguably given the most competitive bout of his career.

I agree that if Campbell takes Garcia into the mid-to-late rounds then Garcia will be in trouble, but I have a niggling feeling that Garcia will do some significant damage with his counters early on, causing Campbell to fade by the sixth or soon after (hopefully not because I'll be rooting for Campbell). Regardless of the result, it will definitely be a good gauge to see where Garcia is really at. And if he loses by decision (I doubt Campbell can score a stoppage) it will be by no means the defining fight of his career. However, winning in convincing fashion or not, I still don't think he'd be able to cope with Loma. I don't think anybody can. The only reason Campbell had success was his size and, more importantly, his experience.

As for the victor facing the winner of Tank vs. Cruz, I think both would beat either one. I do rate Tank and Cruz rather highly, but both are simply too small for lightweight; Tank is just too short and doesn't have the best reach and Cruz has the height and reach, but doesn't have the strength or power. Campbell and Garcia would beat both.
