  • Comments Thread For: Garcia-Campbell Purse Bid Canceled, Deal Reached For November In U.S.

The second attempt by the World Boxing Council at hosting a virtual purse bid went similarly to its preceding effort. As promised one week ago, terms have been finalized for a WBC interim lightweight title fight between Ryan Garca and Luke Campbell. The matchup was subject to a purse bid hearing on August 11 and again on Wednesday, the former delayed on the promise that a deal was reached in principle and only needed a few more days.

Eddie with the L today that’s what he gets for trying to renegade on the terms of the deal agreed w/t Golden Boy last week. Happy Oscar called his bluff now Golden Boy will be the lead promoter for the fight along with it being in the US.

Fight will be in America which means golden boy will have the upper hand, pick the officials so that even if Garcia loses 8 rounds to 4, he'll win 117-111.

Excellent match up. It's going to be interesting to find out how good Ryan is, it's going to be a big step up and a heck of a challenge. If he beats Campbell in stellar fashion, props have to be given, let's not forget that Campbell just went 12 rounds with Loma not to long ago, it's sink or swim time.
