Of course it is a loss. They were contracted to be paid and they waived it.Comment

That really doesn't make a difference though. Those players are paid weekly and they took the pay cut because the clubs were not making as much revenue. Their pot was smaller. Boxers are paid as and when they fight, and here the revenue pot will be smaller.
It doesn't have to be the exact same to a T.
Apologies for the late response. Not been online.Comment

Early guys get money .... new guys don’t get paid what they deserve..No doubt. Especially fooking Andrade lol. At least AJ & GGG got fans.
As to GGG specifically I would say he should be more inclined to work with DAZN since hes got some small ownership in the company. GGG needs DAZN to succeed or he's pissed some of his DAZN deal money away that in theory could be a 8 or 9 figure retirement fund payday at some future date.Comment

Yea but that's future money isn't it so it's not like he'll definitely see it? If DAZN can't fulfill the rest of the agreed to contract by all parties & let's assume Canelo can make better money elsewhere than this new restructuring pay why would he wanna stick with DAZN? How could DAZN keep him for less than market value? That doesn't compute to me.
Granted in this situation its not as easy as the above since it sounds like GBP is a middleman between DAZN & Canelo, but the basic premise seems to stand.Comment
