Don't worry. That equity is worthless.

They should have let Golden Boy run the show not Eddie Hearn.
For sure someone who understood the ropes on your side of the Atlantic. Hearn might have the charm and chutzpah but this was too big a project to entrust to someone without extensive experience of the personalities and MOs of the US operators. In hindsight it was probably fairly obvious that the presence of what was perceived as an interloper - and a British one at that - would have the effect of inciting a degree of hostility from the US promotions and fans, woulda been much easier to gain acceptance with a recognised US promotion at the helm.

he comes across like an entitled used car salesman. idk how his act worked overseas. he’s quite transparent albeit unintentionally.

Hard to say. I think most British fans tend to see him much the same way too, but confidence and brashness - not to mention deep pockets - can go a long way in this world of ours. Can't say there's any promoter I trust worth a damn though, they just got different styles.

Hearn looked strong at first because he had Anthony Joshua.

But then Big Baby Miller shit the bed and AJ got KTFO. Hearn overpaid for Tevin Farmar and Jessie Vargas. That left Daniel Jacobs, Demetrius Andrade, Golovkin against bums, and Hearn's stable of British fighters. Which simply wasn't going to be enough to attract large quantities of American viewers.

Golden Boy has done a better job of building up their non-Canelo roster with a much smaller bankroll. As soon as Canelo came over DAZN should have given Oscar the spending power and the control over organizing all US fight cards.

He has a proven track record of knowing how to do that right.

Had Hearn come over and been more conscious of how to deal with the situation , then I can see some success for him He chose to come over like his chit don’t stink and that the takeover was imminent , that don’t bode with Americans
Hence the hostile reception and his failure
Personally , I think he’s a truly big **** head who’s been served hand and foot , never even worked a day or earned on his own
Now , I think the Brits are starting to see it also

Well I think he's always been seen as a silver spoon kid fronting at being the cheeky cockney type 'geezer' over here, but it's not that surprising that the public (by which confusingly we British mean 'private') school confidence - or arrogance - that's just accepted with a kinda wry cynicism over here could rub people up the wrong way over the Atlantic. Like you say though, going to someone else's house waving your money around and talking big ain't always a great idea... I imagine foremost in the minds of the US boxing establishment, once they had time to sit down and take stock, was how to seperate this upstart kid from his money before sending him packing.

                    It certainly did
I lived in North America and Europe
Europeans tend to believe in a bureaucracy
North America is more about serving the people , meaning it doesn’t take forever to get a document or finalize deals
I find in Europe it’s kind of like you have to chase the system when , here in North America they wanna get rid of you as soon as possible
Had he come and been humble , then maybe or should I say surely , he would of been very successful
Americans are taken by a British

DAZN doesn’t know what they’re doing, they hired the wrong people to handle all of this!

From hiring Hearns to be the budget man to finally pissing off their biggest star an subscriber puller in Canelo!

I enjoyed their fights but they’ve gone too far with this, time to sell it to people who know what they’re doing!
