Would today’s boxers be capable of having 15 round fights?!

Also makes me think when people compare a fighter from the past vs a fighter from today, for example Muhammad Ali vs Anthony Joshua. Ali was conditioned for 15 rounds, so in the 12th round he would still be fresh as a daisy whereas AJ would be blowing hard.
    Some would say, peppermint schnapps.

Others would say, light steroids, like asthma pills that let you breathe like a god.

Either way, Panama Lewis isn't going to reveal the truth even now.

My opinion: guys back then were all (legally) juiced.

      Rounds were downs boys

Google "Longest boxing match" - 110 rounds 7hrs20mins

then Google " Boxing match with the most rounds" 275 rounds 4hrs30mins

How? Because the second had more knock down in less times causing rounds to be way shorter.

By all accounts, most of the to the finish era featured a lot more stalling and BS tactics than modern boxing fans would stomach.

I'll leave it there before I turn this into one of my classic babbles, but, if y'all want more info I can write quite a lot about it.

The reduction of rounds were done more for safety reasons. I doubt they will ever approve 3 more rounds.

They need to bring the 15 rounds back, for unification fights.

You never know it may change the dimension of the heavyweight division 'I think more fighters will change in body shape'.

Just imagine? Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua 'It is round 10, there are still 5 more rounds to go'.

I'm sure they could, they would just have to make adjustments in their training

              * 12 rounds is long enough to determine a winner
              * a draw is an acceptable result, and the correct result on many occasions

              nothing to see here
