I always run on the side of the road opposite of the cars direction of travel, if I can.

I can usually judge if a car is riding the side of the road and isn't going to ease over when he is like 50 meters out, and I don't run on roads where cars go terribly fast, but I'd rather see a car coming, realize they don't see me, and try to jump out of the way, than be running the same direction as the car, and not see the car coming, and that car not see me or think they can clear me and cannot.

In boxing, they say the punch that does the most damage is the one you don't see coming. Imagine how that magnifies, getting hit by a car.

You run with traffic, there's only once chance to not get hit.. that's by the driver seeing you has he comes round a corner..

You run against the traffic you've 2 chances of not getting hit. The diver seeing you and you seeing the driver..
