Gangs fighting isn't riots, real footballriots are rare nowadays. Last riot I remember was at Lazio - Roma, and that was almost two years ago.

I'm not saying europeans are angels, but americans in general seem to look down on other people from other countries, all the bull**** talk about patriotism does that.

        Americans???...as in all Americans?

This country is run on immigrants, through ancestry, and refueling from the new...I still don't know what you are talking about because there isn't a whole lot of that going on; there is some, but it is not a high or even moderate percentage of our crime...if anything, a recent report stated that a lot of crime is actually committed by the illegal immigrants in this country.

I don't care where Maskaev is from. And "Rahman" doesn't exactly sound like a name you typically hear from Baltimore either.

Boxing is an individual's sport, not a World Cup Team.

The Reason why theres alot of beef about this is weve had to
put up with the "america rules at hw" arrogance for along time.
even when lennox lewis (a european) was dominating them all, they
never gave him a moments rest from criticism or gave him deserved
praise. its the same with the klit bros and even muhammed ali when
he declared himself a ******, not fullfilling his "real american" duty

let the europeans enjoy a shot in the limelight. youve bought success
for so long weve rarely had a chance to even sniff at it.

Living somewhere and applying for citizenship does not imply nationality. It merely means you are eligible to live there. Maskaev is as American as the Viet Cong. He should embrace his homeland. He has chosen not to. I hope his family have to be moved into hiding. Maskaev crushed the "last line of defence" - which reminds of many other similar episodes in American history.

Although I think Valuev might be English as he had pint in a South London boozer in 1993. Therefore he's an English world champion.

It seems to me that there was at least a small amount of joy when Valuev took the belt away from a boring Ruiz. Why the change?

Is it that people were ****** enough to take that "America's last Line of Defense" advertising campaign to heart?
Cause it sells tickets...or so promoters think. Remember, America is the best ever.

I know that the US is run on immigrants through ancestry, but that seems to be forgotten.

And no, americans as in US citizens, i said americans because I have heard people from the US say americans when speaking about US citizens, excluding all other americans. This is very common, and you know it.

I haven't said a word about crime rates in the US, all I say is that it is a widespread apprehension that people from the US think they are better people and that they stand above others.

Ok, kind of agree, but not all people from the States have a Texas attitude about the rest of the world.

"Americans" as in North and South American?
If so, the citizens of the United States do tend to take that word "American" as their own and not think of it as "All Americans, both North and South"

Do most Americans tend to be ****y, maybe

It is a selfish, spoiled generation in today's United States; not like the "Great" Generation of my Grandfathers.

It comes and goes...if there is another big Depression, it will humble the people...but the bad thing is that we will probably have to go to war to rebound, so that might not be a good thing either.
