Id favor Holmes. I think Holmes is most underrated. He was dman good but all the greats of the golden age were on their way out or already retired by the time he rose up the ranks.

Holmes would beat Lewis. I dont think Lewis gets past Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Ken Norton.

Lennox comes across as someone with a big chip on his shoulder as if he never got the full love when he was heavyweight champion of the world.

Lennox sounds really salty too when he described all the reasons why he lost to Hasim Rahman stating he didnt know Africa was that high of elevation, he was sitting around too long on the set of Oceans 11, the ref was on Hasim side, the ring was uneven.

I like Lennox, never viewed him as all that great, but giving all these excuses made him seem petty.

You can tell too that he wasn't that fond of AJ and still jealous that AJ was getting way more love than him.

Lennox also explained that he was already ready to retire but still fought on to land the big Tyson fight.

Joe says Tyson was on the decline when he fought him and Lennox is like no he wasn't, (yes he was!)

I do think Lennox never got the full love he should of got but I think it was more so his boring fighting style and dull personality and here in USA I know most of us brothers didnt view him as one of us because of his accent and all.

Lennox then talks crap about Vitali saying he was at his worst and beat Vitali at his best. FAM if this is so why didnt you take the rematch and KO him then?

Then they bring up an interesting rule in boxing if you fall out of the ring how Hopkins did in his last fight and someone helps you up back into the ring thats an automatic DQ. Did you guys know that?

Comedian Russell Peters is also there and hes homies with Lennox they knew each other since they were kids in Canada.
I read Lennox autobiography about 10 years ago and I came away with the same impression, the guy does have a chip on his shoulder and he's never very complimentary about other British heavyweights coming up.

He was at the Olympics AJ won and draping the union flag over him and all smiles but he started talking trash about him soon after.

He was a great fighter but he's got some insecurities and they show up a lot.

He definitely didnt get the love he should have gotten considering H2H wise he might be the best ever. The Americans didnt fully embrace him because of the Brit/Canadian thing, and the Brits didnt fully embrace him as one of theirs either. You can tell the latter influences his attitude towards AJ.

If he stayed Canadian he would have been embraced more by US fans as he won more. He would have filled The Sky Dome or BC Place with 60,000 fans. Canadians love Boxing and are big supporters and it would have carried into America just like GSP did with the UFC. Bottom line you win the Gold at the Olympics for a country then you represent them for good, not change. Bland personality combined with no identifying country is a poor combination and fans can't relate or connect as a result

YEah I mean a large part of why he never got the full love during his reign was his attitude and personality or lack there of. He seemed like either a total d1ck or super awkward shy and didnt know how to behave in front of cameras or something? Like either of those and possibly both explain why the masses never took to him.

Also he never gave anyone props even those who beat him or he was jealous of. He pretty much gave excuses for 15min straight on why Hasim beat him, like dude he knocked you the F out! This is a fact fam just face it embrace and move on.

Hes mad the brits never fully embraced him or celebrated him but he lived in Canada, Jamaica and never even showed any of these places love either. I heard he was a total loner and would avoid fans whenever he could. Fine its his choice but you can't have it both ways and be like why dont the fans love me???

Then there was rumors that he was gay cuz he never had a chick or seen with chicks like at press conf. and media events, sitting at his fights etc and he gave an awkward suspect answer saying im a private man. WTF? You the heavyweight champion of the world aint nothing private about that!

I remember talking to this media guy that everyone knows(won't say his name this was way before METOO so he couldnt use that as an excuse) I was like yo lets get some chicks after the fight since there be ton of bars and clubs and even fight parties and he told me basically what Lennox said about how hes private like WTF? is that code word for GAAAY???

I call him lucky Lewis because he was lucky he landed a punch the cut Vitali and caused the fight to be stopped in his favor. I think Vitali was on his way to KOing Lewis when the fight was stopped. lewis was offered very big money to fight Vitali again but he retired instead. Lewis was good but his two ko losses to average heavyweights are not so good. Lewis is slightly older than tyson but Tyson peaked early and went past prime early and Tyson was way past prime when Lewis knocked him out.

Lewis is obviously atg, but I do find him a bit overrated these days. If he fought as many fights as some other ATG HWs he would end up with a few more loses for sure.
