Comments Thread For: A Look at Golovkin's Legal Fight Against His Former Managers

Depending on whom you ask, the legal battle between Gennadiy Golovkin and his former managers, brothers Oleg and Maximillian Hermann, is either plowing forward like a diesel locomotive or inching along like a polar ice sheet.

OK, look for Triple G fighting until he is 70 or so after he loses this one.

This sad story is the reason boxing is one of the worst sports for a professional athlete! Fighters usually spend as much time in court, as they are in the ring! You don't frequently see these stories about MLB, NFL, and NBA athletes, like you see with prize fighters!

This might be the longest article I've ever seen here.

From what I've read Golovkin has more of the law on his side.

When I read about him ditching Sanchez I thought that was GGG being ungrateful, but I didn't realise he was paying out 45% of his purses - that is too much.

And then, with all this turbulence and rancor in the background Golovkin showed a lot of composure and professionalism to stay dedicated in training and turn in the performances he has. That speaks to his strength of character.

I thought the Ali Act prevented sht like this?? Should be very easy to resolve. Sounds a lot like Canelos lawsuit but they at least gave signing bonuses and sht.

But, out of that 45% wasn't Sanchez only getting 10%? That's standard trainers cut.
It wasnt his fault that, allegedly, Golovkin was signed into other agreements that was costing him that total %.

Simple case of Golovkin not wanting to pay them. He ditched everyone including his trainer who he used to claim was like a father. A proper **** he is.

He didn't terminate the contract until 2019. The law isn't on his side. He owes them money. Him turning on his "father figure" coach and his long time managers as soon as he ht the big pay days shows his character clearly.
