I get trying to maximize your earnings, but this is just silly. Is López managed by Nacho Beristain? Seems like López is willing to make less than to take the fight.

They had a GATE for that fight. He didn’t say Loma needs to make 2 mil less? Estás sordo?
He said they ain’t cool with Lopez making 2 mil less for an undisputed fight. Makes sense, it’s more than a 55% cut for the biggest fight in boxing.
He mentions Campbell made more as a mandatory and while you can argue it’s greed from the Lopez camp, the real greed is coming from Top Rank with the lowball.Comment

There’s no gate, and it’s not on PPV.Do what Floyd did, no purse but a % of revenue, this way if people pay to see it or buy memorabilia you get your percentage and it could be higher than what they want now, if the fight tanks you all get less, but nobody takes the loss more than others.
Promoters dont like this because it shows up there percentage compared to the guy fighting.Comment

This is an interview that was given yesterday. It's in Spanish, so some of you will not be able to understand what he's saying.
But to sum it up, he talks about his son, how he did Tae Kwon Doe and then went into boxing. Then they ask him about the negotiations. He says that the negotiations are complicated. But he says that Lomachenko is getting paid too much for this fight and that Lomachenko has been making two million for his fights and now he's making more, not taking a cut. He said his son is being shorted two million dollars, implying that the cut is unfair and that Lomachenko should be paid less so that his son can be paid more.
The audacity is UNBELIEVABLE!!! Lomachenko is already taking a pay cut, and Teofimo is getting paid more than twice what he's ever been paid.
I can't make this **** up. I swear.
P.S. He says the fight is still going to happen, and that his son is going to knock out Lomachenko within five rounds.
Bueno.

So I just read Loma is sacrificing some of his purse to give to Lopez to make this fight happen. This goes to show who really wants this fight and who is hiding behind money. If Lopez still declines after this, he's a straight b1tch!!Comment

Really?! Do you have a link to that article? Lomachenko has even more of my respect. That shows who has the integrity and huevos in this fight!

Wow! I had previously skimmed that article, just looking to see if I could find Arum saying the deal is done or that Lopez has conceded his position. I usually do when I see Chris Williams as the author. But that's crazy if it's true. Thanks for posting the link!
Here's what it says:
"Teofimo (15-0, 12 KOs) wants an increase from the reported $1.2 million that he’s getting for the fight, a figure that is considerably lower than his opponent. Lomachenko, 32, is getting the lion’s share of the money with a purse of around $3.5 million.
Just how much of Lomachenko’s purse he’s giving up to help get the fight with Lopez made is unknown. Lopez is said to be looking to get $2 million, but it’s not likely that Lomachenko will be sacrificing $800,000 of his $3.5 million fight purse to make Teofimo happy."
Man, if that's true and Lopez still declines the fight, I just don't even know what to say. I mean, I just don't.
And I wonder why Lopez deleted his last tweet. Was it the "negotiating" part of the "dumb asses" part? You know what I mean?Comment
