Comments Thread For: Alantez Fox On Standby For Showtime's Benavidez-Angulo Main Event

BoxingScene.com has been informed that Alantez Fox, Mykal's older brother, is a potential replacement preparing to fill in for Showtime's main event August 15 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Alantez Fox could face either WBC super middleweight champion David Benavidez or Alexis Angulo if either fighter tests positive for COVID-19 or withdraws from their 12-round, 168-pound title fight for another reason.

Fox was destroyed by Liam Williams in his last outing, I suppose that Benavidez would wipe the floor with him.

If he has to face Benavidez it's a first round career ending knockout. I'm with you the covid needs to sit this one out

Alantez Fox is a solid pro who could probably make more money becoming a journeyman-gatekeeper kinda guy. When you get stopped by mid-level fringe contenders like Liam Smith.. it's probably time to consider a new route in the sport. At middleweight I would never throw Alantez Fox in there with Charlo or Andrade. Matchmakers would be convicted of murder. Just ask Seneisa Estrada's matchmakers

Asante already fought Andrade a few years ago. He went 12 with him
