Comments Thread For: Charr: My Promoter To Hold Meeting On Andy Ruiz Fight

WBA "regular" heavyweight champion Mahmoud "Manuel" Charr is still pressing to make a defense of his title against former unified king Andy Ruiz. Charr has been inactive since November of 2017, when he captured the "regular" belt.

Charr’s “title” has no meaning. He hasn’t fought in years and would lose to any to contender.

"Charr is one of several WBA champions at heavyweight. Trevor Bryant is the WBA's 'interim-champion' in the division, with Robert Helenius holding the WBA's Gold title. The boxer viewed as the true WBA champion of the weight class, is unified beltholder Anthony Joshua, who is recognized by the sanctioning body as the 'super champion.'"

And this is why you can turn down the opportunity to fight Charr! The WBA is the worst!

Andy Ruiz thought the team were ordering Charr-broil hamburgers for lunch.

I'd rather see Ruiz vs Arreola.

Didn't the courts rule that Charr-Bryant had to be cancelled because Charr still has to face Oquendo?

So at HW the WBA have a regular champion, an interim champion, a gold champion, and a super champion.

We know the super champion is the main man, but what is the order of precedence regarding the other three?

To clarify that, so everybody knows where they stand in the pecking order, the WBA should should rename their titles as follows:

                  1. Super duper whooper champion.
                  2. Super duper champion
                  3. Super champion
                  4. Regular champion

LMAO!!! Seriously though, how do they choose the mandatory for the "Super" Champion?
