How is not bowing down and settling for a 70something-20something split “pricing himself out”? People keep saying that there isn’t more money to give but Lopez’s problem is with the split. Why does loma deserve 70something percent of the pot?

People also keep talking about how this is a mistake for lopez and he’s the ones that’s going to lose out if the fight doesn’t get made, but people aren’t realizing that loma and top rank/arum will lose out if the fight doesn’t get made too. Outside of tank lopez is the most viable opponent for loma. Arum said it himself, people want to see this fight and a lot of that is due to how lopez looked against commey and how he has talked the fight up over the last several months. Arum isn’t going to just be able to plug in another name and it spect ESPN to keep that same offer for the fight on the table. If this fight doesn’t get made then it’s going to be less money for loma and arum/top rank. I’ve seen Berchelt’s name thrown around.....loma isn’t getting 3.2m to fight him lol. Plus that fight doesn’t add much to his legacy. Loma isn’t just fighting for money at this point, he’s fighting for legacy too.

A lot of fanboys running around here. Loma is 32 and probably had one more fight before he’s 33. Teo is only 23. He’s got time loma doesn’t.

My only advice would be to punt. Postpone it to a later date; Hopefully until this pandemic is over. That way Top Rank would be able to recover some of its loss revenue from a live gate. Actually, Lopez' manager agrees with Arum. He believes that there is just not enough money to go around at this point. He thinks that ESPN should do more to secure this fight. Who knows? Perhaps Team Lomachenko is willing to take a cut as well.

Lopez is not wrong, he was expecting PPV, most fans thought this would be PPV then all of a sudden a Change Of Plans "ESPN Want In On Their Network" so now he has to take less than originally planned. ESPN wants it on their Networks then give Teofimo what he wants and lets fight. If they don't want to pay more then GTFO of the way and let them do PPV!

Arum isn’t saying that there’s not enough money to go around, he’s saying that Lopez should be happy to take the offer and that he’s not worth more.

Again, my point is that people aren’t talking about how this is an L for loma and arum if this fight doesn’t get made too. Where does loma go from here if the fight doesn’t get made?

Unknown isn’t the same as drawing power. He draws more fans to msg than Loma does. He is from the ny area and has a huge following in the Latin community.

His compensation should reflect that, right?

I’m not saying it should be a 50/50 split but he is a champion in his own right. if you feel champs should get more, the split should be a little better than 75/25 right?
I posted he draws more in NYC than Loma, not that he is the bigger draw. I also clearly post Loma should get more. You have no real point. You like Loma for reasons other than boxing so you are fine Lopez is getting shafted here.

You said he draws more in NYC and believed like many others that this would take place at MSG.

But the problem is it isn't, is would have been happening in Vegas.

So why the **** you talking about how well lopez draws in NYC? Did that add anything to the argument? Does that add any legitimacy to his argument for making more money?

                No!

You like others keep changing your arguments everyday just becauze you hate Lomachebko because of his white skin.

Look at your good old friend Goldie. Said nothing about negotiations until Teofimo tweeted about it and pretended like that was his angle the whole time.

I like Lomachenko for reasons other than boxing? Lmfao!

You're not even a FAN of TEOFIMO LOPEZ you just hate seeing a white man being successful. Quit lying big dunn.

Literally. You think i just got on this forum today? I've personally been on the opposite side where you've told me to keep serving my white masters. So yeah man, you wonder why people think so low of people like you. Take a good ****ing look in the mirror.

They should do winner-take-all. Actual prizefighting.

I believe ESPN is only willing to give the fighters only $5 million to split. $1.2 for Teo and $3.8 for Loma.

So I didn’t post he drew more, right?

Yes it does imo. It shows that loma is not such a huge draw over Lopez that a 75-25 (approximately) Split is not really fair, which has been my point all along.

I also posted Loma should get the bulk of the money. I clearly articulated the argument for Lopez making a little more such that the split was closer to 65/35.

How does wanting a fairer split for Lopez where loma gets 65% equate to not wanting to see a white man be successful?

I also never said the amount Loma is getting isn’t fair or should be less.

I have never once been worried about what Loma’s non boxing fans such as yourself think of me.
