I don't blame Teo for negotiating, and negotiating hard. I wish him luck. But if he walks away from this fight, it is a duck.
Given the circumstances that is A ridiculous assessment. Bob is shafting him here. Why should lopez just take that?

    Would you?

This situation reminds me of Walters and Rigo before. Lots of trash talks in the media.

But when the fight was offered, Walters specifically, used money AGAIN.

Taking the fight gives him everything he said he wants, and a huge chunk of money.

The upsides far, far outweigh any perceived downsides. That is the reality. Weigh up the pros and cons of accepting the offer and making the fight. No-one could objectively say that the cons outweigh the pros, no matter how much spin is put on it.

Refusing this fight? The phrase is "to cut off your nose to spite your face".

If this is the sticking point which stops the fight from happening, it is a duck, pure and simple.

I'm hoping this is just a strategy by Lopez, he gets a bit more money put on the table, and he makes the fight.

Bruh its covid. Theres no/limited live gate. everybody is taking a pay cut.

The kid is 22/23 and is no where near being a star yet. $1.2 mil in this climate to fight Loma was perfectly reasonable. If he wins or at least puts up a good fight his profile grows immeasurably and he would be in line for bigger pay days once covid is over.
