You’re talking about free boxing. GGG used to put up monster numbers on free boxing shows. What happened when he fought on PPV. Someone is going to have to sell this PPV fight and it’s not going to be Loma.

If Lopez thinks he will get a equal split from Jose Ramirez or Josh Taylor he is fooling himself as well.

If Lopez cant come to some sort of agreement i completely agree with Boliodogs.
Lopez and his father are just a pair of loud mouths.

(I think what he says is pretty accurate that even if Teo delays the fight it might end up making him more in the long run.(obviously it would be a smarter choice to settle for a few hundred k more & make it now)(no different than Wilder with Dazn deal which allows him to stay with his crew while he made the same as he would've by signing with Dazn, even though everyone wanted AJ)
No. I actually do mean smart. He pushes the Loma fight back to face his mandatory. Likely a nobody that will be easily beaten. There are no fans in the arena, but this isn’t a big fight anyway so he pockets 300k. The likelihood of him losing this fight is slim.

This pushes back the Loma fight 6-8 months so he can wait COVID out and possibly fight in front of fans so that he can get closer to what he feels he wants. The thing is, he already saw some general numbers of what he would have gotten pre COVID. And the new numbers aren’t lining up. Hard to take a shave like that, and wise of him to wait it out. Especially if he can do so while staying active against his mando and pocketing 6 figures.

Are there risks ? Of course ! He could lose. COVID could stick around so it’s all for nothing. He could get injured. Or Loma could get injured or lose. He could out grow the division. But he’s betting on himself on the most likely outcome and if that nets him an extra 1m dollars then that’s smart. And he’s already cutting into the loss by collecting 300k for a gimme fight.

They're trying to put the fight on regular ESPN.

                IBF has Szmerata at #1

Andrade isn't ranked by the IBF.

So tell me who is right?

If i said Szmerata is ranked higher than Andrande by the IBF is that true?

Exactly. So whats your argument Curt? Lmfao.

Szmerata is rankes higher than anyone Andrade has ever fought LMFAO.

Sucks to suck doesn't it Curt? Want to jump on the Loma train with all of your buddies?

In my opinion, ******** is never "smart," unless you have complete control over the outcome. Granted, boxing is a gamble every time you step in the ring (especially if you let it go to the judges). But the more variables you have in a gamble, variables one cannot account for or have control over; an "easy" mandatory or opponent, Vasyl sticking around/not losing, COVID-19 becoming COVID-20 and COVID-21, a greater economic downturn in an already big economic downturn—it's a "******" gamble.

Basically, this is the equivalent of seeing the economy tank, stocks plummeting, and you have a chance to sell before it gets worse; yet, you don't sell and hold on to your soon to be junk stock. This is that situation. And given other sports are coming back, there's going to be greater competition. Right now, ESPN is doing badly because you have non-competitive bouts. But given that Boxing is one of the few sports in town still, it's ideal, to be honest.

Also, it's possible that the pubic aren't going to be so interested in this fight a year or more from now. Maybe people have had enough of Teofimo and "his starving family."

You ask me, this is a "******" move. And the only reason why his manager is doing this is because his clients, Teofimo Sr. and Jr., are telling him that this is what he needs to do. You can lead your clients to water, but you can't make them drink.

Yes a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush,(or if you're Joe ***** its worth 3 in the bush & 1 in the tush),but anyways, til Lopez drops completely out of this fight its all speculation & an excercise in futility. I'm sure hes likely to accept a hundred k or 2 more & end up fighting (How can you not see that Lopez is worth 1.5 mil to espn/TopRank because of pandemic number of viewers who are looking for a non woke sport along with boxings normal baked in audience of free tv viewers, this can end up being a record breaking telecast.

I love how everyone is looking to cash out every fight these days. It's so lame. If you're half as good as you think you are, beat the champ and then you can write your own checks. 1.2 million isn't enough just to show up? GTFOH...
