I think Manny is an incredible boxer. Just 126/130 divisions alone puts him in the HoF without a doubt.

Manny is incredibly polite as a human being and I believe Arum took advantage of that. That aside, after beating Cotto and Margarito (albeit at catchweights), Manny could have had a better list of opponents.

It was a joke to see him take on Rios. Even if he was coming back from a devastating KO. Rios is garbage as a boxer and had ZERO shot at beating Manny.
The same thing with Broner or Mathysse or Jesse Vargas. There were better opponents.
Also, there was no need to fight Mosley who was coming off a one sided beating from Floyd or Algieri. Be honest, prior to that fight, did you know who Algieri was?

Thurman was a great win. I can not discredit it. Even the loss to Floyd was nothing to be ashamed of. Manny gave a good account of himself. The better man won, period.

Manny could have literally fought the top 5 WW and beaten them without any catchweights. Look at the list of guys at WW and Jr WW from 2011 to 2018 and look at the guys he fought. Beating Thurman at 40 just tells you he didn’t have to go through mediocre guys.

Lastly and in response to your last question, Manny is a HoF boxer and an ATG.
I would have ranked him in the top 5 GOAT had he not fought those bums.
Lol nah man I'm not ever going to cuss anyone out, everyone has opinions and their right to them, and I certainly respect yours, Oregonian. Just a friendly boxing discussion. Anyway thanks for your reply as I appreciate the input.

By the way man sorry for being sarcastic earlier, I was just messing with ya.

Yeah he might but it will be a rarity, Thurman was broken TC isnt, it makes a difference right now even if you cant see it.

Thurman in his prime age and talent wise, maybe the bright lights affected him that night. But no excuses, Pac was 41 years old and outclassed Thurman. Even as a full time senator.

Thurman gives Crawford a hell of a fight and maybe beats him. Would love to see that fight before PAC fights him.

I never said anything of the sort. I said, BEFORE Crawford fabricated a hand injury to throw off Horn's camp, that if Horn was allowed to throw Crawford around he wouldn't be able to deal that easily.

Unfortunately, with Crawford afraid to fight Horn in Australia, and with a phony hand injury that magically healed in like two weeks, plus a ref that kept Horn honest, the odds were against him.

Yes. Because we must remember that all of their resumes dogwalk Crawford's. So 'eye test' is all they can bank on.

Since he is so old, he should fight guys close to his own age ?

                  Why should he?

                  Let Crawford fight Spence first.

Look, I am not Manny`s manager, he can do whatever he wants to do.

Nearly 42 old pacquiao still fights better guys than prime Canelo. Canelo plans to fight some Ryder or something, I have no idea whoever he is.
