He's a Golden Boy fighter. I think Top Rank got co-promoter options on him back when he fought Ramirez, but GBP is his real promoter and they handle his career.

I don’t even think TR has any options on him.. they only had a rematch clause in the event Orozco beat Ramirez which he obviously did not. Orozco last fight was getting KO’d by Verg Ortiz.. Orozco is clearly a much better test then Soloman who is shot

This is absolutely pathetic LOL.. Orozco was NEVER a TOP RANK signed fighter LOL. He has always been under contract to GBP.. he only entered Top Rank website for a ONE TIME contest in which he fought Jose Ramirez and lost.. he has since fought back on GOLDEN BOY cards SMH..

Both those fights are mandated title eliminators. Garcia-Campbell is for the mandatory shot at Haney's paper belt in case you didn't know.

Both already had the chance to fight him without an eliminator in case you didnt know.

Haney is allowed to make a voluntary. It could have been either one of those duckers.

Really? Last time I watched Haney, I felt a bit dissapointed.

That doesnt change the fact that fortuna and Campbell chose other opponents instead of fighting Haney for the wbc title. Either one of them could have been his next opponent

Haney has plenty of skills and talent, but brings nothing else to the table business-wise. If whoever wins the eliminator chooses not to fight him, then you can put the "duck" label on him if you want. Boxing is a business first. Can't accuse everybody of ducking just bc they ain't fight your favorite fighter. The money gotta be right.

Campbell and Fortuna were supposed to go at it for the WBC spot. Fortuna decided to take his shot at Linares for the WBC Diamond eliminator(?) probably feeling he has a better chance against him than he did with Campbell bc of his fragility. Next in line behind Campbell is Garcia for the main WBC eliminator. Since they gotta fight anyway, they can avoid the purse bid, run a contract and make more money bc of Garcia's drawing power. All those said names put themselves in the best situation for themselves, and Haney is just not a part of all that at the moment. Regardless, they're all fighting for the WBC spot, so when the dust clears, Haney should have his most notable opponent to date ready for him and show that he is worthy of the belt that was handed to him.
