I don't agree. I think he skipped over needing to be a dominant champion (no-one would disagree with that would they?). But he's convinced enough people for it to work.
Tyson Fury does have two big legacy wins, but overall he is not really at the point in his career where he has surpassed championship belts 'But as you have stated? He has convinced people through share repetition, that he is at that level.

Very few fighters enter into that realm of status.

I expect Fury to go on to many great title defenses though.

Who on the horizon do you see beating him?

I think Fury v AJ would be a great fight. Styles make it a 50/50 for me.

Other than that I'd pick him against anyone. But that's different to thinking he could make 5+ defences - I just think at some point he'll drop his standard and get beaten. It's not easy being the reigning Champion.

I might be wrong, but the point is that he has never proven that he can do it.

I think we can agree he is getting there.

How many truly doubt he will be unsuccessful in unifying?

I think when it's all said and done Fury will be bigger than the belts and also will hold the ones that count. I want to see him break the record for the most defenses ever.

                  • Height, herky jerky movements, grade a confidence in those herky jerky movements...

At heavy there's just no great boxers to time his quick clumsy movements
